At around 20:00 on March 18, 2022, the police of the Traffic Police Brigade of Qinghe Branch set up a checkpoint on Central Street in Qinghe District in accordance with the requirements of the Traffic Police Detachment of the Provincial Bureau. When conducting weekend night inspection and rectification operations, they found a vehicle driving out of Park Road and was about to drive towards the checkpoint. After the car drove out of the intersection, it stopped and then suddenly reversed and entered the original lane. This action was discovered by the traffic police. The police suspected that he was drunk and then called another group to intercept it with the intercom, and at the same time attacked and followed. When the vehicle was discovered, the car had just stopped on the side of the road and a man wanted to escape. When the traffic police stepped forward to ask if the vehicle was driving, the man lied that the driver was not him, saying that he was sitting in the back row at that time and the driver ran away. Seeing this situation, the traffic police immediately retrieved the surveillance video of the checkpoint on the road section. In front of video surveillance, Li admitted that he was driving while drunk.
The police conducted an exhaled alcohol test on him. The driver Li's breath alcohol test content was 57mg/100ml, which was driving a motor vehicle after drinking.
Li's behavior of driving a motor vehicle after drinking violated the provisions of Article 22, paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China. According to Article 91, paragraph 1 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the traffic police brigade of Qinghe Branch temporarily detained his driver's license for 6 months and imposed a fine of 1,000 yuan and a 12-point driver's license.
