The Beginning of Spring is the first solar term among the twenty-four solar terms, and it is classified as the first month solar term in the official almanac of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Beginning of Spring is one of the important traditional festivals among the Han people. "List" means "start". Since the Qin Dynasty, China has always used the beginning of spring as the beginning of spring.
Daohe School specially held a Spring Festival banquet for our Boya Primary School Winter Camp a few days in advance. We spent a different Spring Festival with the local people. We not only realized the importance of this solar term, but also experienced the simple and natural qualities of the local people. What moved us was not this time, but what happened at this point in time and the people who did these things.

Boya Primary School Taiwan Winter Camp came to Daohe College on the third day. The beginning of Spring Festival is just about to come. So in order to let us feel the local customs of Spring Festival, they specially arranged this Spring Festival banquet a few days in advance.
solar terms education is a core curriculum system of Daohe. A solar term is a theme, and courses, handicrafts, food and outdoor mountain climbing activities will revolve around this solar term.
And the Beginning of Spring is one of the most important solar terms. In order to allow our Boya Parent-Child Group to experience the Spring Festival education in advance, Daohe specially arranged a family banquet for us in the Spring Festival a few days in advance, and invited nearby small farmers to prepare two dishes for each person.
These vegetables are carefully cultivated by organic breeding. That night, these small farmers came to the stage to introduce the vegetables they grew and the way to make this dish. Daohe’s teachers and students also performed national music for us.
The children were already hungry at that time and couldn't wait to gluttonize. Unexpectedly, Principal Wei said that he would serve the meal first, then the older children in the fifth grade and the younger children in the fifth grade, and finally the younger children in the fifth grade, in the order of seniority. Another prominent feature of eating in Daohe is that everyone has to wash their own dishes and chopsticks after meals. So in Daohe, the children lined up to wash dishes after each meal. Ancient method of handmade papermaking
The children participated in the papermaking class at Daohe School. The papermaking classroom is still a small tree house built along the mountain. Children use paper almost every day, but few people probably know how paper comes from.
After a class, each child made his own piece of paper. The next day, many children asked me, can I get my paper today? Sure enough, after sieving one by one, and then sieving one by one, the children will definitely feel different about paper. When the children were making paper, we adults went to the pottery workshop to do pottery. Ceramic art is an art form that combines traditional ancient Chinese culture with modern art. From the development of history, we can see that "ceramic art" is a comprehensive art that has gone through a complex and long cultural accumulation process. It has an inseparable inheritance and comparison relationship with painting, sculpture, design, and other arts and crafts. And here we have gained a new understanding of this ancient skill through personal experience.
Back to Daohe in the afternoon, the children went to the papermaking workshop, and we went to the pottery workshop. Teacher Tao Yi also calmly expressed the story of pottery becoming a clay instrument. His heart was relieved little by little, and his hands began to touch the cool clay, and he started with his thumb. My hands were turned around, back and forth, and I made a tea wash, and I respectfully wrote on the bottom with a bamboo stick: I know the end. Then I made a small plate-shaped incense stick, and felt it was too tidy, so I pinched another fish-shaped incense stick. Yunmen Dance Collection , Kendo
Kendo is a traditional competitive equipment martial art. In ancient times, swords were regarded as the soul and spiritual symbol of warriors. The children also studied with the teacher very seriously and became serious!
According to ancient books, "Yunmen" is the oldest dance in China. It started five thousand years ago, that is, the Huangdi era, and the dance steps of the Yunmen dance collection have been lost.
In the spring of 1973, Lin Huaimin took "Yunmen" as the name of the dance troupe. This is the first professional dance troupe in Taiwan and the first contemporary dance troupe in all Chinese-speaking societies.
Over the past thirty-two years, more than 150 dances have been presented on the stage of Yunmen. Classical literature, folk stories, Taiwan history, the evolution of social phenomena, and even the attempts of avant-garde concepts, Yunmen dance code is rich and sophisticated; the many dances have become the common memory of two or three generations of Taiwanese society because of their popularity and repeated performances.

Mr. Zeng Guojun’s sharing session
This time we were fortunate to invite Mr. Zeng Guojun, the founder of Daohe Experimental School, to share with the parents of Boya Taiwan Camp. When I visited Mr. Zeng last year, he talked to us about the idea of the Third Generation School with great emotion. Unexpectedly, just one year later, we arrived at a new campus of the Third Generation School under construction in Daohe Zhubei. From the inconspicuous buildings outside, you can see that there is a unique world when you go in. Principal Wei took us through the campus that was being renovated and introduced us all the way, and we were amazed all the way. With unique educational concepts in the Chinese world, Daohe can definitely rank among the top few if you have a curriculum system and school space design concept.
Here I met Mr. Zeng, the founder of Daohe, who is dedicated to raising children with Chinese culture, and his behavior and speech have a confident temperament that is different from ordinary people. As he himself said, he has deep roots in his own culture and tells his own stories in language that others can understand.
