Vice President of Hon Hai Group and Chairman of Asia Pacific Telecom said that after setting up a base station in Neihu and Tucheng last year, this year, it will continue to work with Jiaotong University to establish a 5G vertical application test site in Hsinchu .

Hon Hai’s Asia Pacific Telecom held a 5G smart life application service conference with Intel and Taiwan Jiaotong University in December 2018. At that time, Lu Fangming said that Asia Pacific Telecom had established a 5G base station in Neihu and Tucheng headquarters.
Lu Fangming also pointed out that the group's division of labor layout in the 5G ecosystem is designed and manufactured by Hon Hai, and the Asia-Pacific is responsible for application services. This time, we plan to establish a vertical application test site in Hsinchu, and we will continue to work with Jiaotong University, but the details must be published before being planned.
Lu Fangming said that since 2018, several companies have been conducting 5G experiments, including mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, etc., and the experiment network is underway. Testing will start in 2019 and commercial transformation will begin in 2020. Especially for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 8K images must be broadcast in real time through 5G.
Lu Fangming emphasized that everyone is working hard to do 5G experiments. In the existing environment, we will cooperate with Yilixin, NOKIA, Intel and Qualcomm to do experiments. Everyone is in the standard. Foxconn is a wide platform, and we will support all partners.
In addition, Asia Pacific Telecom will also hold a training ceremony for the 5G entrepreneurship accelerator new innovation team this afternoon. Asia Pacific Telecom said that this time, the most promising new innovation star will be selected from 300 new innovation teams at home and abroad. The selected potential team will work with Asia Pacific Telecom to create and develop the 5G industry market and challenge the business opportunities of NT$10 billion NT$4.
