This afternoon, the "2022 Zhejiang Jiaxing Export Online Fair ( Central and Eastern Europe Station-Comprehensive Special Session)" kicked off. Representatives from multiple governments and chambers of commerce from Hungary , Slovakia , Romania , Ukraine and other countries, 25 high-quality suppliers and foreign trade companies and more than 60 overseas buyers attended the meeting simultaneously through online and offline methods.
The exhibited products cover textile and clothing, electromechanical, electronic products and other categories, with more than 800 samples displayed, most of which are popular products in the Central and Eastern European markets. The exhibition lasts for 8 days. It will combine the "Global Business Exhibition" promotion platform and the "1-to-1" precise cloud conference model to push offline physical exhibitions to the cloud. Using the "professional, precise and efficient" online exhibition features, display products manufactured by Jiaxing , and establish a new platform for Jiaxing enterprises to carry out trade and deepen cooperation with enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe.
It is reported that Central and Eastern Europe is an important trade partner of China. In 2012, China jointly proposed to establish a cross-regional cooperation mechanism - China-Central and Eastern European countries cooperation framework, to work together for win-win and seek common development. As a strong foreign trade city in Zhejiang, Jiaxing has always been an important engine for Jiaxing's economic development. Data shows that in 2021, our city's imports and exports to Central and Eastern European countries reached 12.48 billion yuan, with the trade volume exceeding 10 billion yuan for the first time, an increase of 30.4% year-on-year, and exports were 11.3 billion yuan, an increase of 32.0% year-on-year.
In recent years, in the face of the repeated epidemic and the increasingly complex international economic situation, our city has coordinated the promotion of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, resolutely launched a combination of stabilizing foreign trade, and vigorously supported enterprises to expand the market. "We actively explore trade digitalization and the 'Internet + Foreign Trade' model to help foreign trade enterprises expand markets and grab orders through 'cloud display', 'cloud negotiation' and 'cloud docking' models.
