Japan Package Design Associaton was founded in 1960 and is the largest packaging design industry association in Japan. The Japan Package Design Association holds a national design competition every two years - the Japan Package Design Awards.
019 Japan Packaging Design Award received a total of 1,201 entries. A jury composed of 40 members of the Japan Packaging Design Association has initially selected 423 works, which will be published in the book "Package Design In Japan Biennial 2019" published in May 2019.
The review panel joined four special judges outside the association, who identified the works selected in each category. After discussion and voting, 38 award-winning works were finally selected.
