The annual Dongyue Temple Fair
is about to begin!
On April 11, the press conference of the Taishan Dongyue Temple Fair of the People's Government of Tai'an City was held at the Tai'an City News Center. The author learned from the press conference that the Taishan Dongyue Temple Fair with the theme of "Seeking Dongyue Temple Fair and Praying for Peace and Lucky" will be held at from April 19 to April 25, 2019 at Dai Temple .
Taishan Dongyue Temple Fair has a long history and a profound influence. In June 2008, the Dongyue Temple Fair was announced by the State Council as the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage. Since 2009, the Taishan Dongyue Temple Fair has been successfully held ten times in a row.
In recent years, Taishan Scenic Area has closely focused on the deployment requirements of the Tai'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and has expanded the brand influence and attractiveness of "China Taishan, the World Tai'an " with the core of exploring, promoting, displaying and inheriting Taishan culture. By innovating the format of temple fairs, we will improve the taste of events, expand the scope of cooperation, and establish a place for Taishan to become a pleasing place with special influence in the international and domestic areas, and achieve significant social and economic benefits.
On the basis of retaining traditional special projects such as Taishan intangible cultural heritage display, folk competition, and opera performance, this year's temple fair introduced 21 special tourism, culture, folk customs, and economic and trade activities, including the Han Meilin painting exhibition, the world's first crowing Wan seminar, tea fair, national fitness challenge, and cultural and creative product display, reflecting the characteristics of the temple fair in the era.
In recent years, with the Dongyue Temple Fair as a platform, the exchange of tourism, folk customs and culture between Mount Tai, Tai'an and Taiwan has continued to deepen. During this year's temple fair, a group of more than 70 people, including representatives of economic and cultural association organizations such as the Taiwan China Asia-Pacific Small and Medium Enterprises Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, the Taiwan China Cultural Relics Association, and the Taiwan Cultural Industry-Economic Exchange Promotion Association, and representatives of believers such as the Shanhua Dongyue Palace, the Pingtung Sansheng Palace, and the Changhua Jade Palace will come to Thailand to participate in various visits and exchange activities.
This year's Dongyue Temple Fair is the first temple fair after the Taishan ticket adjustment is implemented. Affected by the pass, the current passenger flow of Dai Temple has increased by 60% compared with the previous period. It is expected that more tourists will participate during this temple fair.
In addition, there are more than 20 major projects in the temple fair this year, including many high-end and influential cultural activities, such as the first Han Meilin Art Exhibition held in our province and the first world crowing seminar. It should be said that through years of continuous construction, the influence and popularity of the temple fair have reached a new level, and all sectors of society have also given active support and attention. Taking the Dongyue Temple Fair as a platform, various social associations and organizations have also joined in, which has prompted the activities of the Dongyue Temple Fair to become more abundant and down-to-earth.
It is understood that this temple fair attracted more than 120 specialty shops to settle in, covering cultural and creative, handicrafts, food, tea, etc., and merchants are very enthusiastic about participating. (III) Fu Tai - A special exhibition of calligraphy and painting in Animal World of Han Meilin

Content: The exhibition takes Han Meilin's animal-themed painting as the core, and 68 groups of artistic works in categories such as painting, calligraphy, and folk crafts were selected to reflect the artist's understanding and inheritance of traditional skills, traditional styles, and traditional aesthetics, and present Han Meilin's artistic creation and exploration process from different angles. This is the first time that the series of works by art master Mr. Han Meilin has been exhibited in our province. The exhibition displays more than 40 fine works of Chinese paintings by Mr. Cai Junzhang and Mr. Liu Jiandong and Mr. 7 of Taiwan. At the same time as the painting exhibition opens, the 2019 creation activity of Taishan Shigandang Calligraphy and Painting Scrolls on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will also be launched at the same time.
