"Mazu Culture Chronicles" is the first Mazu Culture special journal co-edited by both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The compilation started in 2009. The Fujian Party Zhizhi Committee and the Taiwan Mazu Association jointly organized experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait for 8 years to compile "Mazu Palaces and Temples" and Cultural Relics and Historical Sites", "Mazu Ceremony, Activities and Folk Customs", "Mazu Literature, Art and Academic Research", and "Mazu Belief Organization" in four volumes. For the first time, this journal provides a more comprehensive and systematic account of the formation, development, dissemination and influence of Mazu beliefs, and promotes the Mazu spirit of "accumulating good deeds, establishing virtue, and having great love".

Chen Qiuping, director of the Fujian Local Records Committee, said that "Mazu Culture Chronicles" will hold a series of launch and presentation ceremonies in Taiwan next year, and will present "Mazu Culture Chronicles" to Taiwan Dajia Zhenlan Palace and other Taiwanese Mainly Mazu Temple, as well as the Museum of World Religions, New Taipei City Library, Fo Guang Shan Mahayana Temple, Lingjiu Mountain Wusheng Dojo, Fu Jen Catholic University and other related institutions.

Tang Bingchun, an expert on Mazu culture and deputy director of the Propaganda Department of Putian Municipal Party Committee, believes that the "Mazu Culture Chronicle" co-edited by both sides of the Taiwan Strait "is a chronicle, a museum, and an art gallery and academic lecture hall of Mazu culture."

Zheng Mingkun, president of the Taiwan Mazu Association, said that experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait spent eight years visiting thousands of palaces and temples to record the culture and history of Mazu. "It is very meaningful for future generations to remember it."
