Since 2011, the Taitung Hot Air Balloon Carnival has been held every summer in Taitung. The Hot Air Balloon Festival held at Luye Township Gaotai allows you to see the spectacular sight of hot air balloons soaring into the sky at home.

The Taitung Hot Air Balloon Carnival has been selected as one of the 12 most amazing hot air balloon carnivals in the world. This year the event celebrates its tenth anniversary. The Taitung County Government hopes that all tourists can use the sky as their curtain and the earth as their seat, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
