When mentioning the Danxia landform, the first thing that comes to mind is the colorful Danxia at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains in Zhangye, Gansu Province. The colorful colors are amazing. But what's amazing is that there is also a Danxia landform in Pingyuan County, , which is more than 2,000 kilometers away from Zhangye and where the three provinces of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi meet. Different from Zhangye's colorful landscape, the Danxia landform here is not only surrounded by green vegetation, but all the hills are almost finger-like cylinders. Among them, there is the five-finger stone composed of Baoding stone (thumb), Arhat stone (index finger), Tianzhu stone (middle finger), Jianglong stone (ring finger) and Baogai stone (last finger). The five fingers rise from the ground and tower into the sky, with the characteristics of majesty, danger, strangeness, beauty, secludedness and ancient times.
Entering from the gate of the scenic spot, the first thing that catches the eye is a clear water. This lake has a nice name called Guifei Lake. Although I don’t know which imperial concubine it is, the reflection of the Wuzhishi mountain in the distance in the water, coupled with the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds, makes people feel particularly relaxed and happy. Since it had just rained heavily yesterday, the mountain was relatively humid. The morning clouds and mist had not dispersed yet, and the top of the entire mountain was still surrounded by clouds and mist, adding a bit of fairy air to the entire mountain. It can be said that "the mountain is not high, it is famous if it has immortals."

After walking out of the ropeway, there are two forks on the left and right. One side is the high-altitude plank road, and the other side is the road up the mountain to the summit. Considering that it was still relatively cool in the morning, we chose the path to the summit.
The road going up is not too bumpy, but there is greenery everywhere. Various unknown trees are scattered on both sides of the road, which can be called a museum of plants.
Along the way, wherever there are concave mountains, you will always see exposed rocks and rows of irregular branches standing in the rock cracks. It is said that if you place branches here, your waist will not hurt. Although I don’t know whether it is true or not, it seems to be the case all over the country. Wherever there are mountains, there will be such legends.
Before walking far, I saw a fork in the road. And on the platform at the fork in the road, a stone that looks like a brush holder stands on the side of the road. I don't know which immortal once wrote here, but in the end he took away all the pen and ink, leaving only this pen stand. There are roads going up the mountain on both sides of the fork, and we chose the side closer to the top of the mountain. Everyone wants to conquer this masterpiece of nature's miraculous craftsmanship as soon as possible.
The junction of the three provinces must be a battleground for military strategists. In ancient times, there was not only an ancient city wall that could not be opened by anyone, but also troops were stationed here. Although it is very old, there are still some ruins left in the barracks where the army was once stationed. Standing on the observation deck opposite the barracks, facing Guangdong Province in the middle, Fujian Province on the left, and Jiangxi Province on the right, it is really the transportation artery where the three provinces meet.
After walking through the relatively gentle and spacious wooden plank road, the actual climb up the mountain is really frightening. Standing at the intersection, looking at the name "Qingyun Road" carved on the cliff, and then looking at the way up, it is really straight up into the blue clouds, but it is extremely thrilling. The entire road is dug along the cliff of the mountain. It is originally winding and extremely steep. Coupled with yesterday's heavy rain, the road steps are even more slippery. If you are not careful, you may hurt your leg or twist your foot. But for us who are determined to reach the top, all difficulties are just paper tigers.
The railings on both sides of Qingyun Road can be seen to be newly built. It is said that the railings used to be just three iron chains. This reminded me of the scene on the back of the crucian carp in Huangshan not long ago. If there are still three iron chains now, climbing to the top should test your courage even more, right?
There is actually nothing to see on the top of the mountain. It is surrounded by tall trees and there is almost no room to look far.However, after all, in the journey of life, another mountain peak has been stepped on. This feeling of conquest is rare. Moreover, another purpose of climbing to the top of the mountain is to fly the drone at a higher place. There is almost no signal interference, and you can fly and shoot as much as you want.
Looking from the air, we discovered that the highest peak we are on is not composed of the five fingers of the Five Finger Stone. The real five fingers are not far to the southwest of this mountain. The tops of the five fingers' heads are covered with vegetation, but the mountain body shows the unique layering and colors of Danxia. The Danxia landform here belongs to horizontal bedding. Due to the development of vertical joints, long-term strong water erosion and gravity collapse have formed a typical Danxia landform landscape with steep mountains, developed cracks, deep rock caves, and majestic beauty. .
Returning the same way, walking on the road down the mountain, I became more aware of the difficulty of this Qingyun Road. Going straight to the top may seem simple, but the hardships involved can only be known when you reach the top, right?
