Recently, a post about "human infection with African swine fever" circulated on the Internet, making many netizens worry about the safety of pork.
The online post said: "Ma Hongfu, an employee of the Agricultural Bank of Shitouqiao in Changsha, ate a piece of pork and had a high fever. He was sent to the central hospital for treatment. He was diagnosed with a suspected No. 1 infectious disease in Africa, infected by swine fever, and was sent to Shenyang for treatment. It didn’t work, and now the patient is in critical condition..."
The reporter learned that this rumor is an old rumor that was circulated last year. On July 25, 2019, Changsha police clarified the relevant situation online.
The police said in the report that the first written rumor was first circulated in 2018 and had been spread in many places across the country with different place names. Relevant official media have repeatedly refuted the rumor. This rumor was processed and modified by Yiyang netizen Zhao Gang and uploaded to the Internet.
The second picture rumor is that Chenzhou netizen Wang Mouquan used software to forge the seal of "Mawangdui Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Changsha City, Hunan Province" and spliced the first text rumor into a "Police Emergency Notice".
The third text rumor was posted in a WeChat group by a Ningxiang netizen named Zeng who modified the content to make up fictitious information. The above rumors were widely spread, disrupting public order and causing adverse effects.
On July 24, 2019, Zhao Gang, the originator of the text rumor "The Shitouqiao man was sick", and Wang Mouquan, the producer of the "Police Emergency Notice" picture rumor, were administratively detained by Furong police in accordance with the law for disturbing public order. Zeng, the originator of the "African Fever Victims' Request" text rumor, was administratively detained by the Ningxiang police in accordance with the law for disturbing public order.

A 24-year-old Yueyang boy developed the above symptoms after visiting his girlfriend. He once suspected that he had contracted new coronary pneumonia.
