After the King of Yue Goujian was unearthed, Singapore borrowed the exhibition. Why did it leave a crack when he returned to China?

When it comes to swords, most people think of all kinds of swords in martial arts movies, because many people have a martial arts dream since they were young. However, with the increase of age, the dream of martial arts once became so small and ridiculous.

It is worth mentioning that many of the magic swords in martial arts dramas are real in history, but these magic swords in history are not so mysterious, nor are they so heavenly.

In martial arts, Yue Wang Jian is usually mentioned. The King Yue mentioned here, of course, refers to the overlord of the Spring and Autumn Period, the King of Yue Goujian. Goujian is a man who loves the weapon of the world and has collected countless swords in his lifetime. It is a pity that people always die. After Gou Jian died, thousands of swords that accompanied him to dominate the Central Plains also disappeared in the long river of history.

In the 1960s, Chinese archaeologists discovered a stolen Chu tomb in Jingzhou, Hubei. Due to the serious theft of the Chu tomb, the archaeological team had to conduct rescue excavations on the tomb. It turned out that a large number of weapons were unearthed from this small general tomb.

Especially when the archaeological team opened the coffin of the owner of the tomb, they found a wooden lacquer box on it. What was in the box? At that time, some archaeologists asked Ying to open the wooden lacquered box to find out. Surprisingly, when the archaeologists opened the wooden lacquered box, they found 2 shiny bronze swords inside.

The excited archaeologist pulled out one of them. Unexpectedly, his hand was scratched by the sword in an instant, and the blood flowed. The archeologist's hand was scratched by the sword because the sword was too bad. You should know that ordinary bronzes will basically be oxidized in the ground for more than two thousand years, thus forming a layer of patina; when unearthed, the sword is already scarred, let alone scratching the archaeologist, even if it is cut, it will not hurt.

This bronze sword unearthed from the tomb of Chu is not only uncorrupted and stainless after more than two thousand years, but also sharp, like a swordsman novel waiting for the master to appear. This sword is hidden in the Hubei Provincial Museum and is known as the King of Yue Goujian sword.

After being unearthed, the Goujian sword of the Yue king was exhibited in Japan, South Korea, the United States and other countries as a representative of Chu culture to showcase the Chu culture of China more than two thousand years ago. However, after 2002, the King of Yue Goujian was listed as a cultural relic that is permanently prohibited from leaving the country for exhibition. Why is this?

Presumably everyone in the country knows that a Qin warrior in the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum was borrowed and exhibited by the United States two years ago. I thought that the Terracotta Warriors would receive extremely high treatment in the United States. Surprisingly, because of the inadequate security measures in the local museum, a finger of the Terracotta Warriors was forcibly broken off by American tourists, causing permanent damage to the cultural relics. .

That is to say, the Cultural Heritage Bureau stipulates that some national treasure-level cultural relics are prohibited from exporting for exhibition in order to protect cultural relics and the crystallization of Chinese culture.

However, in addition to the destruction of the terracotta warriors and horses going out to the exhibition, the Yue King Goujian sword, known as the world's number one sword, also suffered severe damage. What is going on here?

In the 1990s, Singapore, which belongs to the Chinese cultural circle, held a large-scale Chu cultural exhibition. At that time, some famous Chu cultural relics in China were invited to exhibit. Although the Yue Wang Goujian sword was a thing of Wu Yue, it was unearthed in Chu, so it was naturally invited to exhibit.

I thought that the exhibition would go very smoothly. However, to the anger of the nation, the sword Yue King Goujian was borrowed from Singapore for the exhibition, but when he returned to China, he had an extra blade. Cracks, which means that the cultural relics are severely damaged.

After investigation, it was found that the cracks on the body of the Yuewang Goujian Sword were man-made. The staff of the Singapore Exhibition found that the sword was stuck in the glass when they evacuated the Yuewang Goujian Sword exhibition. The staff did not think much. Suddenly he pulled out the sword abruptly. In this way, the thousand-year-old sword was scratched by the glass.

Many people may wonder "Isn’t the Yue King Goujian the number one sword in the world? The sword, how could it be scratched by glass". In fact, the hardness of copper or bronze is not as strong as that of glass. The staff pulls out the sword forcefully, and scratches are inevitable. In addition, the Yuewang Goujian sword is not in history. Weapon is a kind of ritual weapon, which means that this sword has not been a real duel in history, but was given as a national ritual weapon. This is one of the reasons why Wu Yue’s sword appeared on the ground of Chu.
