On the afternoon of October 8, Dinggou Town carried out nucleic acid testing for all employees. According to the unified arrangement of the district committee, I, as the leader of the bag, went to Dinggou Town to carry out supervision work.
After seeing the sampling site at Qiaohe Village Department, Wang Yi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Dinggou Town, and Zhou Yong, secretary of the Party Branch of Qiaohe Village, specially introduced to me the tomb of Martyrs Deng Hua in Qiaohe Village. The tomb of Martyr Deng Hua was built in the early 1950s and was repaired once in 1991. Last year, the village invested more than 40,000 yuan to initially maintain the main body of the tombstone and the surrounding environment and redefine the scope of the cemetery; in early March this year, the town allocated another 70,000 yuan special funds to upgrade the martyrs' tombs. Some time ago, the provincial party committee inspection team specially visited the site during the Jiangdu inspection and gave a good evaluation.
Their introduction aroused my interest. I have heard of the martyr Deng Hua for a long time, and I also know that there is a Deng Hua village named after a martyr in Dinggou, but his tomb has never been visited, so I asked them to take me to take a look at it on the spot.
Monday of Martyrs Deng Hua
Martyrs Deng Hua’s tomb is located on the west side of a small river. On the protruding high ground is a monument with eight golden words "Martyrs Deng Hua will never die forever". On the north side of the monument, a display plaque made of marble was erected. The gold-plated words on it introduce the life of the martyr:
Deng Hua (1916-1943), male, from Wuxi, Jiangsu. In 1940, he joined the New Fourth Army in southern Jiangsu, and in 1941, he carried out anti-Japanese and national salvation struggles in the Jiangnan region with the 18th Brigade of the 6th Division of the New Fourth Army. In that year, Japan, puppet and stubborn colluded to try to eliminate the New Fourth Army in Suzhou, Xichang. The main force of the New Fourth Army broke through the blockade, crossed the river northward, and moved to the Gaobao area of Suzhongjiang. After reorganization, Deng Hua's 52nd Regiment became one of the main regiments of , the Central Military Region of Suzhou. In order to adapt to the needs of local armed struggle, the 52nd Regiment dispatched 7 or 8 companies to stay in Jiangdu area to carry out guerrilla war . At the same time, two guerrilla companies were developed in Jiangdu area, and Deng Hua was transferred to the Second Company to be the company commander. In the early morning of September 7, 1943 (the eighth day of the eighth lunar month), the famous Dinggou West Caozi battle in Jiangdu area was started, also known as the "Caozizhuang Battle". Wang Jianzhai (known as "Wang Hu, Guocun", the commander of the 93rd Pseudo-93rd Pseudo-93rd Pseudo-Ninety-Three Regiment, led 500 puppet troops to the area east of Dinggou Town to grab grain. At that time, the Second Company and the Seventh Company, and the Zhenji and Fannan Brigades where Deng Hua were located set out from Sanzhouzhuang, crossed Qiaojiahe, and rushed straight to Caozizhuang, and launched a fierce attack on the puppet army. Many puppet soldiers were frightened by the news and retreated without fighting. By the early morning, the remaining quarter of the puppet troops entered the landlords' courtyard in Caozizhuang and resisted stubbornly. Deng Hua decisively ordered the soldiers to surround the courtyard. He was observing the terrain and commanding the battle. Unexpectedly, Deng Hua was hit by a puppet army rifleman ambushed on the top of the corner of the wall of the courtyard. Blood stained his body red on the spot. He was only 28 years old when he died.
After reading this passage, a young, handsome, heroic image appeared in front of you, and admiration arose - for the birth of New China, many martyrs fell one after another. In such a long list of martyrs, in addition to heroes like Li Dazhao, Cai Hesen, Yun Daiying, and Yang Jingyu who are famous all over the world, there are more martyrs like Deng Hua who are not very famous and have little knowledge of their deeds. Deng Hua has participated in the revolution for only three years. Before his death, he was a company-level cadre and was a grassroots commander in the army.Although these martyrs did not participate in the revolution for too long, their positions before their sacrifice were not too high, and their resumes were relatively simple, for the establishment of the Republic, they also sacrificed their precious lives and shed the last drop of blood. Therefore, as future generations, we have the obligation to let more people understand and praise their deeds, feel the power of truth and personality in the glorious deeds of the martyrs, so as to better inherit the will of the martyrs, continue the red bloodline, and effectively do all the current work. This is not only a matter of origin, but also a heavy historical responsibility! Dinggou Town has renovated the tomb of Martyrs Deng Hua, which is a great achievement!

When I was commemorating Martyr Deng Hua, one thing came to my mind: Where is the Caozizhuang mentioned on this exhibition sign located? Is there any more now? If so, should I continue to call this name?

After moving to Dinggou, it was divided into two 'Cao characters', which were divided into two 'Cao characters', and passed down from generation to generation for more than 500 years... After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Communist Party of China and the People's Government made the "Unity of China and the West" in China... He is especially good at adjusting menstrual seeds and curing lacerations. He created more than ten kinds of proven prescriptions, including "Bugan Shen Chengzi Decoction", "Chuan Gu Dai Wan", "Baosheng Decoction" and "Kai Gu San". He has repeatedly cured stubborn diseases and is still used in gynecological clinical treatment by successors. "
1983, I went to Dinggou Middle School to study. There is a classmate in the class named Liu Guojian, who is a descendant of Liu Xibo. When chatting after class, he often talked about his family's ancestral gynecology, which specialized in treating infertility and , and said that his ancestors once went to the palace to see the Queen during the Ming Dynasty. At that time, we were young and couldn't figure it out, and we all said that he was bragging. Later, as he grew older, he realized that what he said was true. Liu Guojian's father was named Liu Hualin. At that time, he opened a clinic at the bottom of Caozhuang Bridge on the east side of the Sanyang River. When we got home from school, we had to pass by the entrance of this clinic. He also often went to the class to visit Liu Guojian. Because of this past, I have been familiar with Liujia Cao-character gynecology and descendants for a long time, but what I didn't expect was that Liu's Cao-character gynecology was born in this inconspicuous small village in front of me. Since I'm here today, let's take a look.
Leave the tomb of Martyrs Deng Hua, walk east for five minutes, and then cross a north-south Tongzhuang Road and enter the village.
There is an east-west river in the middle of Caozizhuang called Caozi River. The villagers' houses are generally distributed along both sides of the river. The Zhuangzi is not big, and at first glance, there are only 40 or 50 families. Since there are no bright halls, historical relics, and no dazzling scenery, like the thousands of villages on the land of Suzhong, Caozizhuang seems ordinary and quiet.
However, there is an abandoned Denghua Primary School in Caozizhuang, which is unforgettable. When I walked to the east end of Zhuangzi, I passed by a small bridge made of several floor slabs, and came to Denghua Primary School. Because the courtyard door is locked, we are not allowed to enter, but from the outside you can see two rows of classrooms inside. Because it was abandoned for too long, some roofs have collapsed and doors and windows have been seriously damaged under the attack of wind and rain.Especially inside, there are overgrown weeds and big trees forming a forest, making it look like a plant kingdom.
Thinking back to the past, every day here was filled with the sound of reading and the noise of children. Wild ducks were playing in the river and birds were singing on the branches. What a happy land this is! However, in just a few decades, people have left their homes and the house has become a forgotten corner. How big is this contrast! At this time, this scene, a poem written by Li Bai in " Climbing the Phoenix Platform of Jinling " couldn't help but come to my heart: "The flowers and plants in the Wu Palace are buried in the secluded paths, and the clothes in the Jin Dynasty are ancient mounds."
However, when Secretary Zhou Yong led us to take a walk around Denghua Primary School from outside, he was surprised to find that this primary school is very unique, surrounded by rivers. The school is actually located on a "small island". Such a manipulation is extremely rare in the entire river. Surrounded by water, towering trees, no one is seen. Denghua Primary School seems to be floating in the water that is located in a corner and is independent. If it is washed away by dust and a little bit of rectification, it will definitely be a heart-pounding paradise.
Of course, what Secretary Zhou Yong talked about the most was that this primary school also came out of a celebrity - Alternate member of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering , Chairman and Secretary of the Party Group of China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Co., Ltd. Dai Houliang . It was here that Academician Dai Houliang received enlightenment education, then went out to study, entered the petrochemical system to work, and gradually walked towards his colorful life stage. Denghua Primary School can be said to be the starting point of Academician Dai Houliang's life, and it has played a role in guiding his husband and irrigating his life for his cultivation and growth. Denghua Primary School must be a place that Academician Dai Houliang is unforgettable and obsessed with.
When Secretary Zhou Yong was telling the story of Academician Dai Houliang, I thought of another middle school classmate of mine - Sun Anlin. In 1989, Sun Anlin was admitted to the Department of Ship Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University as the top scorer in the college entrance examination in Jiangdu. He is currently working in the China Classification Society of China. He is an expert in ship manufacturing specifications and technical expertise with profound attainments. I vaguely remember that he is from this area. Has he attended this elementary school? I asked him for confirmation and he said that his elementary school was also here, and the classroom at the gate of the courtyard was the classroom he was in the fifth grade.
An inconspicuous rural primary school can cultivate industry elites with profound academic knowledge, which is really impressive.

After walking around Caozizhuang, I had a general feeling that the villagers in this area are generally not rich. Whether a village is rich or not has the most intuitive and simplest way, which is to look at the houses of local people. Judging from the houses here, except for the several buildings in the east end, most of them are built in the style of seven beams and exterior corridors in the 1970s and 1980s. After so many years of baptism, most of them appear low and old. In addition, the lack of garbage bins, traffic signs, fitness equipment, cultural corridors and other facilities in the village make people feel like they travel through time.
I asked Secretary Wang Yi how the economic situation in Caozizhuang is. He said that there is a lack of dominant industries here, and the economy is mainly rice and wheat seasons, and economic development is in the middle and lower position in the whole town. Denghua Village, named after Martyr Deng Hua, was a municipal poverty-stricken village in the past few years. The poverty alleviation period was not long and the economic foundation was not solid enough.
After listening to his speech, I couldn't calm down for a long time - how to make Caozizhuang, an ancient land soaked in the blood of martyrs, become beautiful as soon as possible, the pockets of the people are bulging, and the collective economy is stronger, it should be a topic that needs to be solved in front of the party and government organizations at the town and village levels of Dinggou Town, town and village levels.
19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed a major strategy for rural revitalization. In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping further demanded "comprehensively promote rural revitalization", emphasized "adhering to priority development of agriculture and rural areas, adhering to the integrated development of urban and rural areas, and smoothing the flow of urban and rural factors", and proposed important measures such as "solidly promoting rural industries, talents, culture, ecology, and organizational revitalization", which pointed out the direction and provided guidance for continuing to do a good job in rural revitalization. Specifically speaking of Caozizhuang, how to combine the spirit of the Twenty Top 20 with local reality, I think it is very important to seize opportunities, adapt to local conditions, and find the right path suitable for local development.
Yangtai Airport Phase II expansion project rendering
At present, although Caozizhuang is in the solid area of Dinggou Town, two major benefits have brought unprecedented development opportunities to Caozizhuang:
One is the launch of the second phase expansion project of Yangtai Airport. Since its opening in 2012, Yangtai Airport has developed very rapidly, with an annual passenger throughput of 3 million. Eastern Airport Group started the second phase expansion project of the airport since last year. At present, all work such as relocation, design, and review are being carried out in an orderly manner. According to the plan, after the completion of the second phase of the project, the annual passenger throughput of Yangtai Airport will reach 10 million, becoming the second largest airport in Jiangsu Province after Nanjing Lukou Airport. This also means that more than 30,000 passengers will pass through Dinggou every day.
Second, the Yangzhou China Film World project is about to be completed. According to the overall layout of Yangzhou City , Dinggou Town is positioned as a film, television, cultural and tourism town. In 2020, Light Media, the largest private media and entertainment group in the country, and the central enterprise, China Communications Construction Group, joined hands with Jiangdu District to jointly implement the Yangzhou China Film World Project. The project adopts the new investment concept of "fixed assets + tourism + cultural education" and is the business card of Yangzhou's future film and television industry. The total construction area of the first phase of the project is about 250,000 square meters, and a total of 19 studios are built and 7 studio groups are formed. After completion, the Yangzhou Film and Television Base will become a studio cluster area in China with super large, ultra-wide, large number of super-high studios, complete studio categories, large scale of ceilings, combined with landscape and flexible studio combinations. At present, the project has had a wide and significant impact in the domestic film and television industry. If additional actors and staff who serve film and television dramas are added, at least 20,000 to 30,000 people will be active at the Dinggou Film and Television Base every day.
Yangtai Airport Phase II expansion project is a major infrastructure project in Jiangsu Province's "14th Five-Year Plan". Yangzhou·China Film World is a major cultural industry project included in the Jiangsu Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" Outline. According to rough calculations, these two provincial major projects bring at least 50,000 or 60,000 people to Dinggou Town every day. Such a large flow of people will undoubtedly produce a series of consumption behaviors such as catering, accommodation, and shopping, which brings a once-in-a-lifetime development opportunity to the revitalization of Dinggou Town. Fortunately, Caozizhuang is only ten minutes away from these two projects, and the transportation is very convenient. Therefore, if Caozizhuang develops the tertiary service industry with B&B and as its main business format, the prospects should be very broad. In this regard, the brother villages have made useful attempts. In 2012, after the opening of Yangtai Airport, the villagers of adjacent Zhuqiao Village and Tengfei Village used their home yards to spontaneously open more than 100 inns, and the business was very prosperous. Pearls and jade are on the side. In this regard, the Caozi Group can learn from it, play to its strengths and avoid its weaknesses, lead the whole with the point, create brands and characteristics, and thus open a new path of sustainable development.
