But when she saw her son going home, a guard stopped her from leaving. On the afternoon of August 22, the female teacher was taken to the West Flower Hall of Zhongnanhai by the guards, which is Premier Zhou Enlai's home.

1953, a female teacher from her hometown in Guangdong went to Beijing to visit her son and daughter-in-law.

But when she saw her son going home, a guard stopped her from leaving.

On the afternoon of August 22, the female teacher was taken to the West Flower Hall of Zhongnanhai by the guards, which is Premier Zhou Enlai's home.

After the female teacher arrived, Premier Zhou immediately stepped forward excitedly and held her hand. The female teacher also had tears in her eyes.

Looking at the two people who were particularly excited, Mrs. Zhou Deng Yingchao asked inexplicably: "Who is this?"

Premier Zhou smiled mysteriously and said, "We used to be husband and wife."

Deng Yingchao was completely stunned. Didn't Zhou Enlai marry her only? How could this female teacher be his wife?

1. Meeting

We have many revolutionary generals who have married several wives for various reasons, but Premier Zhou is an exception.

Zhou Enlai only married Deng Yingchao in his life. Even though Deng Yingchao lost her fertility, Zhou Enlai's love for her never changed.

As for this female teacher, her name is Fan Guixia. She did have been married to Zhou Enlai in her early years. What's going on?

Fan Guixia was born in Fogang, Guangdong in 1905 and has two sisters below. Her father Fan Xinyi is a barefoot doctor. She is not very wealthy at home, but she is still more than enough to support a few children.

So Fan Guixia also had the conditions to study and receive education since she was a child, and her thoughts were relatively progressive. She participated in student sports a lot during her school days. She joined the Communist Party of China in 1926 shortly after graduation.

But she had just joined the party and had a sudden change at home.

1927 On April 15, 1927, the Guangdong authorities of the Kuomintang ordered a "purge" in Guangzhou and search and massacre Communist Party members. For a time, Guangdong people were panic.

Under the Kuomintang’s sweep, more than 2,000 Communist Party members and revolutionary masses were arrested and more than 100 died heroically.

Fan Guixia's family was also surrounded by the Kuomintang military and police. At that time, Fan Guixia's father and sister were downstairs and were arrested by the military and police on the spot.

Fan Guixia alertly crawled out of the balcony and escaped, but when she returned home, her father had been beaten to death and her sister was also arrested.

Fan Guixia was unable to handle her father's funeral in the end. She hurriedly hid at the home of a female worker she knew and bought a boat ticket with her help.

Then, Fan Guixia first stayed in Macau for a while, and finally came to Hong Kong.

Font long after Fan Guixia arrived in Hong Kong, she found the organization of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. With the approval of Secretary-General Shen Baotong, she stayed there to be responsible for the contact and reception work.

On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising broke out, and the first shot of armed resistance to the Kuomintang was officially fired.

However, because the Kuomintang's military is too strong, our party lacks experience in fighting and suffers heavy losses after not staying in Nanchang for a long time. He has no choice but to go south to Shantou, Guangdong to find foreign aid.

But when retreating, the Kuomintang's siege did not stop and the large troops were constantly dispersed.

Disaster never happens alone. Zhou Enlai, the main leader of the Nanchang Uprising, also got malaria . He was often in a state of drowsiness because of his high fever and could only be carried away on a stretcher.

Fortunately, under the escort of Nie Rongzhen and Ye Ting, Zhou Enlai came to Guangzhou with difficulty, but because he couldn't understand Cantonese, they had to go to the local leader of the Communist Party Yang Shihun , wanting to seek his help.

Yang Shihun was obliged to this matter and immediately found a place to arrange for them to stay temporarily. A few days later, they and their group were safely transferred to Jiazi Port of Lufeng.

After getting on the boat with the ticket, several people swayed on the boat and floated for a few days, they finally arrived in Hong Kong smoothly.

After Yang Shihun contacted a comrade in the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hong Kong, in order to avoid the eyes and allow Zhou Enlai to recover with peace of mind, they were responsible for arranging Zhou Enlai to a luxury house in Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong.

In addition, Yang Shihun called Zhou Enlai a wealthy businessman from Shanghai Boss Li, and he himself was the second young master.

After having a residence, Yang Shihun found Shen Baotong, Secretary-General of the Guangdong District Party Committee, and asked him to introduce a wife who can care to "Boss Li".

Shen Baotong then came to Fan Guixia. Fan Guixia was only in her early 20s at the time. When she heard that she wanted to pretend to be someone else's wife, she agreed immediately when she knew that it was all for revolutionary work.

, and Fan Guixia didn't know who she was going to take care of her. When she followed Lai Guliang from the General Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee to the mansion of Yau Ma Tei, she realized that the person lying on the bed was Zhou Enlai.

2. Pretend to be a couple

Fan Guixia is not unfamiliar with Zhou Enlai. When Zhou Enlai was the director of the political department at the Whampoa Military Academy in Guangdong in 1924, Fan Guixia also heard him give a report, and she admired him very much at that time.

I didn't expect that now I would pretend that Zhou Enlai's "maid" was covering him. Fan Guixia felt that this task was both arduous and glorious.

Fan Guixia, who felt the burden on her own, immediately started working. According to the doctor's instructions, she always stayed by Zhou Enlai to observe his physical condition and fed him some drinks from time to time.

With such careful care, Zhou Enlai quickly woke up and looked a little energetic.

Fan Guixia was also very excited when she saw Zhou Enlai awakening. When Zhou Enlai just woke up in a daze, she still asked very alertly: "Who are you? Where is this place?"

Fan Guixia hurriedly explained her identity and some current situation. Zhou Enlai let go of her guard when he heard Fan Guixia mention the names of Shen Baotong and Yang Shihun.

Then, Fan Guixia ran to call Yang Shihun who was guarding the house next to her. When Yang Shihun saw Zhou Enlai who was awake, he jumped on his bed excitedly and said in surprise: "Brother, you have finally woken up."

When the two were talking, Fan Guixia hurried to the kitchen and stewed a bowl of chicken soup for Zhou Enlai, hoping that he would replenish his body quickly.

Unexpectedly, Zhou Enlai was a little unhappy when he saw the chicken soup, and said, "The organization is already so difficult. You stew chicken soup for me, how can I eat it?"

Fan Guixia was displeased after hearing this and retorted, "You are so seriously ill. If you don't supplement nutrition, how can you continue to work for the party."

These words made Zhou Enlai refuse again, so he could only take the chicken soup with a smile: "Just this time, you can't stew chicken again in the future."

Zhou Enlai recovered well after waking up, and he could get out of bed and walk around by himself.

But because he was just recovering from a serious illness, the organization did not let him resume work immediately, and he would still ask him to rest at home for a few more days. During

, when Zhou Enlai was free, he could only chat with Fan Guixia and take a look at the newspapers and documents brought from outside.

In addition, Zhou Enlai also taught Fan Guixia to smoke, drink and play mahjong. Of course, he did this just to make Fan Guixia more in line with her "rich wife".

According to Zhou Enlai, you should be very vigilant when acting outside. It is always good to be more careful, so that it will be easier to deal with the enemy when you encounter it.

After a while, the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China began to hold a meeting on Guangzhou Uprising , and Fan Guixia, as her "wife", accompanied Zhou Enlai to the meeting.

For several days of meeting, Fan Guixia followed Zhou Enlai. After arriving at the venue, Zhou Enlai went to the meeting, and Fan Guixia stayed outside and waited.

During that time, although the two were "Mr. Li" and "Mrs. Li", after returning to the house, Fan Guixia still called Zhou Enlai Director Zhou.

A month passed in a hurry, and Zhou Enlai's health was already well. He also received a letter from the Party Central Committee notifying him to return to Shanghai to attend the Central Committee immediately.

The time for parting was coming. Fan Guixia, Yang Shihun and others sent Zhou Enlai to the dock. Several people held hands, and Zhou Enlai thanked with tears in his eyes: "Thank you for your hard work these days."

The ship gradually left the dock. After some twists and turns, Zhou Enlai finally returned to Shanghai safely. When he saw his wife Deng Yingchao, Zhou Enlai immediately told her about these experiences in Guangdong and Hong Kong.

Deng Yingchao knew the difficulties and was very grateful to Fan Guixia who took care of Zhou Enlai: "Thanks to her, if I can see her in the future, I must thank her. "

And more than twenty years after Deng Yingchao said this, Fan Guixia had the opportunity to see Zhou Enlai who had become the Prime Minister again.

3, Zhongnanhai Meeting again

Not long after Zhou Enlai left, in early 1928, a man went through a lot of trouble from Guangdong to Hong Kong. After finding the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the other party named Fan Guixia.

Fan Guixia burst into tears on the spot. The person who came to find her was her boyfriend Pan Gongming in Guangdong.

Pan When Gongming and Fan Guixia were in love, he was not only a student at Whampoa Military Academy , but also a Communist Party member. He also participated in many campaigns to fight against warlords.

Later, after the Kuomintang carried out a sweep of the Communist Party members in Guangzhou, Fan Guixia hurriedly fled to Hong Kong and also lost contact with Pan Gongming.

Fan Guixia mentioned Zhou Enlai and his boyfriend during the time he took care of Zhou Enlai. At that time, Zhou Enlai comforted Fan Guixia with a depressed expression: "As long as he loves you, he will come to you. If he doesn't look for you, you don't have to worry about him anymore. "

It seems that Zhou Enlai's words are right. Pan Gongming finally came to Hong Kong to find Fan Guixia.

Then in February 1928, with the approval of the party organization, Fan Guixia married Pan Gongming. After the marriage, the two returned to Guangzhou to continue working for the party.

But with the fierce struggle, the party organization could only be switched to the underground order contact. Later, Fan Guixia's single-line contact person did not know whether he had sacrificed, and also broke off contact with Fan Guixia.

At that time, the party organization in the south was destroyed by the Kuomintang. The couple looked around, but in the end they did not contact the party organization, and they had no choice but to end the revolutionary work.

1931, Fan Guixia and her husband returned to Yunfu County, Guangdong, Since then, he has become a rural teacher and has been teaching and educating people. During

, Fan Guixia and Pan Gongming also had their own children. Later, it was when she went to Beijing to see her son from her hometown that Premier Zhou learned about her news.

Premier Zhou remembered in her early years that she took care of her friendship, so she sent someone to take Fan Guixia to her home in Zhongnanhai.

Although it took more than 20 years to meet again, Premier Zhou is still familiar with Fan Guixia, who is almost 50 years old.

Deng Yingchao didn't know at first that the person who came was Fan Guixia. After Premier Zhou explained to her, Deng Yingchao found out that she was The person in front was the person she always wanted to thank.

On that day, Premier Zhou and his wife shook hands with Fan Guixia enthusiastically and asked her to sit down and chat. This chat was at night, and Deng Yingchao strongly invited Fan Guixia to stay for dinner.

At the dinner table, Premier Zhou’s food at home was not very rich, but all three of them had a happy meal.

Premier Zhou knew that Fan Guixia was teaching in her hometown, and repeatedly praised and encouraged her, saying that educating the next generation was a very important task.

When they parted, Premier Zhou sent someone to buy a train ticket back to Guangzhou for Fan Guixia and sent her to the train station, hoping that she could come again.

Fan Guixia was quite moved by this, and Premier Zhou's help to her was still there.

66, Fan Guixia encountered difficulties. In 1973, she couldn't stand it, so she came to Beijing to seek the help of Premier Zhou.

But that year, Premier Zhou herself was also seriously ill. Fan Guixia couldn't bear to disturb him after hearing this.

But the relatives at home were in trouble. Fan Guixia thought about it after repeated attempts to send the letter she had written to the Prime Minister's office.

She didn't have much hope when she sent the letter. What she didn't expect was that Premier Zhou sent someone to find her residence when she saw this letter. After learning about her difficulties, Premier Zhou quickly made a free hand to solve the problem for her.

Fan Guixia is very grateful to Premier Zhou for his help to their family. In 1976, when Premier Zhou passed away, the old man, who was in his 70s, couldn't help crying in grief at home.

Although Premier Zhou left, his wife Deng Yingchao still did not forget Fan Guixia.

On August 22, 1982, Deng Yingchao once again received Fan Guixia at his home in the West Flower Hall of Zhongnanhai. The two met again after many years and were already gray-haired old ladies.

After this meeting, Deng Yingchao not only took a photo with Fan Guixia, but also gave her an exquisite handbag. After Fan Guixia returned, she kept putting this gift on the head of the bed, which is also a witness to their friendship for so many years.

Later, Deng Yingchao passed away in 1992. Fan Guixia died of illness in Guangzhou two years after her. On March 6, 1994, she died of illness at the age of 89.

Conclusion

Premier Zhou has been in the revolution for many years, has experienced many difficult moments, has helped him and saved his life, among which Fan Guixia only spent a few months with Premier Zhou and was kind to him.

Premier Zhou remembered Fan Guixia's care for him.

Later, in order to repay Fan Guixia, Premier Zhou still solved a big problem for her while he was sick. Deng Yingchao never forgot Fan Guixia's help to her husband, and she was always grateful to her in her heart.
