In 1402 AD, Zhu Di finally won the battle of Jingnan and won the throne from Jianwen Emperor Zhu Yunxi. From 1406 to 1420 AD, Zhu Di mobilized a large amount of human, financial and material resources to build Beijing. At that time, the person in charge of the Governor's project was Marquis Chen Gui, and the chief engineering designer was Wu Zhong. According to "The Genealogy of Wu Family", Wu Hezhong has never had a son. When he was 42 years old, he adopted Wang Zanghai, a 3-year-old child from his distant relative, as his adopted son. Later, Wu Zhong worshipped a Japanese eminent monk as his teacher, and learned a lot about Yin Yang and Feng Shui. According to the records of Ming History, this genius served in the Ministry of Criminal Affairs and Shangshu of the Ministry of War. He served as an official under the four emperors of Chengzu, Renzong, Xuanzong, and Yingzong, and was especially appreciated by Zhu Di.
Xingxiu Ming Palace, the design of Changling, Xianling and Jingling 3 tombs are all masterpieces of Wuzhong. During the Yongle reign, Wuzhong was highly used by Emperor Zhu Di, and he was an official to the Ministry of Industry. In orthodox 12 years, 70-year-old Wu Zhong died of illness in his hometown of Wucheng, and was later buried 10 miles west of the city. During the Qianlong period, the official Xiu's "Wucheng County Chronicles" recorded that the tomb of Wuzhong was also named one of the 16 tombs in Wucheng.
