In 1959, my country discovered the Daqing Oilfield in Heilongjiang. Since then, China has taken off the label of "poor country". When news came out that China had unearthed oil, the Japanese even regretted their intestines. In the 1920s and 1930s, Japan invaded China to get rid of the economic crisis. The plundering of resources is the main purpose of Japan's aggression, and oil is a very important resource. According to historical records, the Japanese occupied my country's northeastern region for 14 years, but these invaders have never been able to unearth the Daqing oil field.
The oil reserves of Daqing Oilfield in Northeast China are about 5.67 billion tons, and its annual output is 50 million tons. The Japanese army’s annual oil consumption was about 5 million tons. In other words, if the Japanese army discovers this piece of oil, the War of Resistance against Japan may not be 14 years old! World history may even be rewritten! The Japanese are not fools either. They also conducted extensive excavations in Heilongjiang at that time, but they were only a little short of success.
Songji Mitsui is the first blowout oil field excavated by China, with a depth of 1,300 meters. At that time, the Japanese Kwantung Army dug 1,000 meters, which is only 300 meters away from fame. In addition, there is also a "Sayi Well" in the Daqing Oilfield. The Japanese were only 1 km away from here when they drilled the well. If the Japanese persisted a little longer at that time, they might have discovered the Daqing oil field decades earlier than China. But why didn't they insist on digging? There are two reasons:
First of all, during World War II, the term "Oil from the Ocean" was popular in the world. At that time, most scholars believed that oil was a special resource transformed by marine organisms, and there were abundant oil resources buried in the marine area. Therefore, the Japanese Kwantung Army was not single-minded in digging for oil in the northeast of my country. After they drilled the well to 1 kilometer, they didn't stick to it, and later devoted their time and energy to Southeast Asia.
Later, the Japanese did excavate more than 20 million tons of oil in Southeast Asia, so they ignored the Northeast region even more. Another reason is that the nearby guerrillas influenced the Japanese to dig oil fields. After all, the Northeast is our country. Japanese invasion of the area will inevitably lead to resistance from the Anti-Japanese guerrillas. These guerrillas often attacked Japanese exploration teams, so the Japanese could not dig wells wholeheartedly, and finally had to withdraw.
Later Chinese scholars Pan Zhongxiang and Li Siguang respectively put forward the views of "oil from inland" and "oil from northeast". So China discovered the Daqing Oilfield in 1959. Nowadays, Daqing Oilfield has always been an important source of petroleum resources in China, and it has played a significant role in my country's economic development. We are fortunate that the Japanese Kwantung Army mistakenly believed in the saying of "ocean oil storage", did not dig 300 meters, and finally failed to discover this treasure land of oil resources.
