Preface
1960, Mao Anying and Shao Hua held a wedding in the living room of the Dalian Hotel . Their wedding was not a grand celebration, but simple and enthusiastic, with only a few plates of wedding candies and peanuts, which replaced the wedding banquet.
The two brothers depend on each other for life
On November 13, 1923, Mao Zedong's second son Mao Anying was born. Before he could enjoy his father's warmth, his father said goodbye to him. When Mao Anying was just over the moon, Mao Zedong was ordered to leave Changsha and go to Shanghai to prepare to go to Guangzhou to attend the first National Congress of the Kuomintang.
After Mao Zedong left, he lived a life of being separated from Yang Kaihui. When Mao Anying was four years old, Mao Zedong secretly sent his wife Yang Kaihui, nanny Chen Yuying, as well as Mao Anying, Mao Anying, and Mao Anying, and then launched the Autumn Harvest Uprising in a hurry.
Three years after Mao Zedong left, Mao Anying was obediently by his mother Yang Kaihui.

Yang Kaihui
However, the peaceful life was still broken. In 1930, Yang Kaihui was killed by Hunan warlords. The death of her mother caused a heavy blow to her brothers, and they had to live with their grandmother Xiang Zhenxi.
Not long after, Mao Zemin, who was far away in Shanghai, wrote a letter hoping that Xiang Zhenxi could send the children to Shanghai. Xiang Zhenxi knew that he was unable to take care of these children, so the old lady Xiang Zhenxi, who was in her 60s, disguised herself as if she was visiting relatives, dressed up with her three brothers by train to Wuhan, and then took the ship to Shanghai.
After arriving in Shanghai, the three Mao Anying brothers were sent to the Shanghai Datong Kindergarten run by the Underground Party of the Communist Party of China to study. The good times did not last long. The Underground Party of the Shanghai was severely damaged and the kindergarten was forced to disband. Mao Anying and Mao Anying brothers lived a life of dependence on each other.
Mao Anying and his brother wandered outside for five years, and after suffering, they finally survived.
1936, the party organization finally found Mao Anying and Mao Anying. Then they thought of a way to take the opportunity of General Li Du to go to Western Europe to inspect, take the opportunity to go to France, and finally arrive in the Soviet Union.

Mao Anying's brothers took a photo with their mother
After the two brothers arrived at Moscow , they were sent to Moscow's nursery school to study. At this time, Mao Zedong devoted himself to his career and worked hard for the happiness of more people. For this reason, he sacrificed too much time with his relatives.
However, no matter how busy he is in his work, Mao Zedong was still thinking about his children, but he could not visit them.
Finally, in the second year after Mao Anying and his friends arrived in the Soviet Union, someone brought photos of their brothers to Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong carefully held the photos and couldn't let go of them. He had not been reunited with his children for many years.
When I heard that someone was going to the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong made a special trip to write a letter, asking this person to bring it to the children:
"Dear An Ying and An Qing: I miss you all the time. I know that your situation is still good and I have made progress. I received your photos. I was very happy... My situation is fine, and I will write to you again if I have the chance..."
At the same time, He Zizhen also contacted the two brothers and often took care of them.
In 1947, Mao Anying returned to China and then joined the Communist Party of China under the introduction of Fuchun and Cai Chang . He also participated in the pilot land reform of Keshan County, Heilongjiang in accordance with his father Mao Zedong's wish.

Mao Anqing's family
After Mao Anqing returned to Beijing, he used his own learning to translate and publish more than 10 classic Marxist-Leninist works and political theory books.
In 1950, bad news came from the battlefield, and Mao Anying died. After hearing this news, Mao Anying immediately fell into deep pain. Over the years, his brother has been giving him meticulous care and care, and now he has been separated forever.
Mao Anying could not bear this heavy blow. He had an old disease attack for a while and had to be admitted to a Beijing hospital for treatment, and then went to Dalian for recuperation.
Mao Anying fell in love with Shao Hua at first sight
One day in late autumn in 1959, a responsible person from the Municipal Party Committee of the National Taiwan Affairs Bureau found Zhang Shibao, director of the Guard Department, and had a conversation with him. At the same time, he was given a special task: Mao Anying, the second son of Chairman Mao Zedong, was about to go to Dalian to recuperate from the Soviet Union. The Municipal Party Committee decided that he would be fully responsible for the work of the guards and take care of Mao Anying's life. The comrade in charge told him that after Mao Anying sacrificed his life for the country on the Korean battlefield, Mao Anying was Chairman Mao’s only son. Chairman Mao worked day and night for the revolution, so we have to take good care of his own flesh and blood!

Zhang Shibao heard this and was excited and surging in his heart: "Please rest assured, leader, I must make careful arrangements and ensure the successful completion of the task!"
Then, Zhang Shibao immediately arranged for the bureau to make arrangements, and then sent someone to welcome Mao Anying on the Sino-Soviet border. Ten days later, Mao Anying was taken to Nanshan Hotel by Xue Gui.
Zhang Shibao did what he said, and arranged Mao Anying's life in a colorful way. Zhang Shibao often took Mao Anying to the beach for a walk and chat with him. Mao Anying likes to read Russian books, so Zhang Shibao borrowed him a Russian version of "Journey to the West". Mao Anying was extremely fulfilling during his recuperation here.
In January 2019, Mao Zedong's mother-in-law Zhang Wenqiu came to Dalian for recuperation. Of course, she did not come alone, and she also brought her second daughter Shao Hua, who was studying in the Chinese Department of Peking University for winter vacation. They went to the Nanshan Hotel to visit Mao Anying. What no one expected was that this young couple would fall in love at first sight.
When we first met, Mao Anying and the girl had met too late, as if they had endless things to say. It was not until dinner that Mao Anying and Shao Hua walked out of the living room with a chatter and laughter.
Seeing the two of them getting along like this, Zhang Wenqiu was also happy, so he told the leaders of the Municipal Committee of the Tourism University that our family and the Chairman's family knew the truth. I really wanted to continue this marriage. I think the Chairman would agree with it, but I don't know if these two young people like it or not?

Mao Zedong took a photo with Mao Anying and Shao Hua
The leaders of the municipal party committee thought for a while and said that it was perfect for Mao Anying and Shao Hua to be companion. After all, Shao Hua was still in school, so he stayed in Dalian for only a dozen days before hurried back to Beijing to go to school.
Mao Zedong heard that Mao Anying's body had improved a lot, so he picked up a pen and wrote a letter to his son:
An Qing My son:
I heard that your illness has improved a lot, and I was extremely happy... Your sister-in-law Siqi and her sister Shaohua came to see you. They are very concerned about your condition and you should treat them well. I heard that you have communicated a lot of letters with Shaohua, right? Do you mean to be friends...
Mao Zedong was extremely satisfied with Shao Hua, the child.
When the People's Republic of China was founded, Shao Hua was already 11 years old. However, she often followed her sister Liu Siqi and her brother-in-law Mao Anying to visit Mao Zedong at Zhongnanhai . Although Mao Zedong was busy with everything, he always cared about Mao Anying and Liu Siqi's studies. Therefore, after meeting, Mao Zedong would ask about their study status.
Seeing the adults immersed in it, Shao Hua was also interested, She wanted to go to school and learn more knowledge.

In the spring of 1962, Mao Zedong, Mao Anying (first from left), Shao Hua (second from right) and others were together
One day, Shao Hua came to Mao Zedong and said loudly: "Uncle Mao, I want to go to school too."
Looking at the 10-year-old child in front of him, Mao Zedong nodded with satisfaction : "Okay, you are willing to go to school, I will help you." Mao Zedong did what he said, and Ye Zilong handed Shao Hua a letter of introduction. Shao Hua also began to enter the campus and finally got admitted to the Chinese Department of Peking University.
Mao Zedong loved reading all his life, and Shao Hua was in the Chinese department, so they talked more about literature.
However, in front of the learned Mao Zedong, Shao Hua always felt that his knowledge was not enough. When she achieved good results in the subject "General History of China" of Peking University in , she went to tell Mao Zedong, Mao Zedong's expression remained unchanged, but said: "Then I will test you and talk about the reasons for the rise and fall of Liu Bang and Xiang Yu ."
Shao Hua memorized the content written in the book in a regular manner. After hearing this, Mao Zedong laughed: "This is rote memorization, which is considered to be the basics, but he still does not have a good understanding." Mao Zedong was also very patient with the younger generation : "You must read more historical materials, think more, and be able to explain the 'why' clearly. This lesson is considered to be a good lesson."

Shao Hua (first from left), Shaolin and Mao Zedong were on the Tiananmen Gate Tower
So, in fact, Shao Hua met Mao Anying when he was a child, "I have always been Mao Anying's little sister. At first I treated him as my brother, and finally developed to this point..."
Mao Zedong's letter was still sent to Mao Anying. When Shao Hua and his sister Siqi arrived in Dalian, they brought this letter with them. Mao Anying was so excited after reading the letter, and asked Zhang Shibao to hand the letter to the leaders of the Municipal Party Committee and the medical team for review.
After reading this, these leaders slapped their thighs and were very happy. , "That's great, Chairman Mao is very happy about this marriage. You see, the letter says that Shao Hua is a good child, you can talk to her. We must do a good job and strive to promote this marriage as soon as possible."
Anyone who hears this is happy for Mao Anying. It is really a happy event for lovers to finally get married. However, they cannot ignore things other than happiness. Another leader suggested: "Shao Hua is celebrating at Peking University. Books are afraid of delaying their studies, and every time they come to the company, they come and go in a hurry." The leaders of the municipal party committee followed this idea and finally said, "We want to stay Shao Hua in Dalian for a few more days. If we are afraid of delaying their studies, we can arrange for her to study in the Chinese Department of Liaoning Normal University."

In the 1950s, Shao Hua visited Chairman Mao in Zhongnanhai
. This will not only not delay Shao Hua's studies, but also allow her to have more contact with Mao Anying. It is a good idea to kill two birds with one stone.
On April 30, 1960, Mao Anying and Shao Hua held a wedding in the living room of Dalian Hotel. The host of this wedding was Guo Shushen, the first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. During the meal, he sincerely wished Mao Anying and Shao Hua and his wife: "Love and make progress together, fly together and grow old together!" After
, Shao Hua spoke on behalf of Mao Anying and expressed his gratitude to the leaders and comrades in the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China for their care and care. She said sincerely: "An Qing and I love each other sincerely. Our union is just the beginning of the long journey of love. The road of life has sunshine and wind and rain, but as long as we work together, love and help each other, we will definitely overcome any difficulties and create a better future!"
As soon as Shao Hua finished speaking, warm applause rang out below. Amid these applauses, Shao Hua and Mao Anqing bowed deeply to everyone.
Their wedding was not a big feast, but simple and enthusiastic. They just prepared a few plates of wedding candies and peanuts to replace the wedding banquet. After they got married, they lived in Dalian for nearly a year.

Mao Anying’s wedding photo
1970, Mao Anying and Shao Hua gave birth to a son. Mao Zedong was extremely happy and even named the child: named "Xinyu", which means "it should be like Kunlun Mountain collapsed the cliff, and it is like a typhoon sweeping the sky around the sky."
Mao Xinyu When he was six or seven years old, Mao Anying's family of three came to Dalian again. Mao Anying still had no airs and talked to the old people here approachable. This time they visited here for a few days. Seeing Dalian today, Mao Anying had to admire: This time I came to Dalian, I felt that there were more buildings, taller buildings, and wider roads.
He wrote the three words "Yang Anqing" in his signature book
After Mao Zedong's death, Mao Anqing and his wife returned to Shaoshan many times, and each time they lived in Shaoshan Hotel. No matter how many times they came here, they had to go to Mao Zedong's former residence and the Dishui Cave to take a look. They also wrote inscriptions for Shaoshan in Chinese and Russian words: "I love Shaoshan".
Mao Anying has always had a deep affection for his birthplace. When he was a child, he grew up next to Yang Kaihui and used the name "Yang Yongshou".
So decades later, Mao Anying came to visit his mother's grave with tears in his eyes, and still came to his old residence in Bancang, and then wrote the three words "Yang Anqing" in his signature book, one by one. At the beginning, everyone thought he had written it wrong, but they didn't know that this was his childhood memory, which was condensed in these three words.

Mao Zedong's housekeeper Wu Liandeng was also thinking about Mao Anying. When Mao Zedong was alive, although the father and son could not meet every day, they still insisted on contacting by phone. Mao Zedong often asked the staff around him to inquire about his son Mao Anying from their words.
After Mao Zedong's death, every day Mao Zedong's birthday, Mao Anying would take his whole family to the "Chairman Mao Memorial Hall" to mourn his father, and the wind and snow were unblocked.
In the solemn hall, Mao Anying respectfully placed the exquisite flower basket in front of the old man's sitting statue, then bowed deeply and observed a quiet moment.
Finally, the three of them supported each other and went to crystal coffin room 6 to pay tribute to Mao Zedong's remains.
In his later years, Mao Anying's family lived in a quiet yard at the foot of the West Mountain in Beijing. Because he had worked and studied in the Soviet Union for 11 years, Mao Anying developed the habit of speaking in Russian. Every time he could not express his thinking accurately in conversation, he would involuntarily speak a bunch of Russian.

1961, Mao Anying, Shao Hua and Mao Zedong took a photo
Even in his later years, Mao Anying was still concerned about national affairs and supported the construction of in the elderly, young, border and poor areas. He took his wife and son many times to retrace the Long March, helped out-of-school children in various forms, and supported the establishment of multiple teenager patriotism bases.
As Mao Zedong's son, Mao Anying never takes self-esteem. He has been a secretary in his house for 4 years and has also commented on him: "High-tempered, really good."
On March 23, 2007, Mao Anying died of illness in Beijing at the age of 84.
At noon that day, Jiang Zemin personally called Shao Hua to express his sincere condolences, and hoped that Comrade Mao Anying's relatives could mourn, and hoped that Shao Hua could take care of her health and not be too sad and tired. The burden on her was still heavy. After
, Jiang Zemin asked Mao Anying about the details. Shao Hua said it all the time. Jiang Zemin said affectionately: " Chairman Mao's family sacrificed many people for the revolution. Now Comrade An Qing has also left. He must do his funeral well."
When he learned that Mao Anying's body farewell ceremony was held in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery, thousands of people came spontaneously to pay their condolences. People lined up to sign and receive the memorial book, followed the team slowly, and then entered the mourning hall to mourn.

Mao Anqing and Shao Hua's ashes burial ceremony
In that commemorative album, Mao Anqing smiled simple and gentlely; in front of the mourning hall, there were countless wreaths from all directions; mourners all held white chrysanthemums and poems of mourning.
Among the crowd, there were people who came to pay their respects, namely Ren Shirong and Huang Qian. The two old men have special identities. One of them was the chief musician of Chairman Mao Zedong at that time. He also danced with Chairman Mao in Chunouzhai, Zhongnanhai, accordion ; the other one sang songs such as "Ode to the Motherland" for Chairman Mao during his time in the General Political Department Song and Dance Troupe.Ren Shirong still remembers deeply that even in the most difficult period of 1960, Chairman Mao did not allow the children to have dinner with him. Speaking of this, he also sighed: "Chairman Mao's descendants are deeply influenced by the Chairman!"
After entering the mourning hall, Ren Shirong bowed three times first. When he walked past Mao Anying's body, he bowed deeply again and raised his head. Only then did he realize that his tears had already wet his eyes. Old man Huang Qian couldn't bear to leave for a long time, so he looked back and then.
In the crowd, there are also people in their 80s who have been the captain of Chairman Mao’s guard... There are more people here who have never been known to each other, and they all spontaneously came to bid farewell to Mao Anying for the last time.

Mao Anqing
At 11 noon, Mao Anqing's coffin was carried onto the hearse. After Mao Anying's son Mao Xinyu got into the car with his father's portrait in his arms, one of the mourners even held up the memorial album with Mao Anying's portrait high towards him, and stood there for a long time and couldn't bear to leave.
