Unfortunately, things often go against your expectations. During Qin Shihuang's reign, tyranny was implemented, which made the world suffer for a long time. Shortly after his death, various places revolt and overthrew the Qin Dynasty.
How did the Qin Dynasty perish? How tragic was it when it perished? Why can't we find Qin Shihuang's descendants now?
1. "Tyrant" Qin Shihuang
Qin Shihuang is the most meritorious emperor in my country's history. At the same time, he is also a famous tyrant in our history and has always been cursed.
During the Qin Shihuang period, the Qin Dynasty had a population of more than 20 million, including tens of thousands of officials and more than 1 million soldiers. At the same time, Qin Shihuang built Great Wall and forced the requisition of nearly one million laborers. Many people died tragically during the construction of the Great Wall. Qin Shihuang also burned books and buryed scholars, and implemented severe punishments and laws, which led to the suffering of the world for a long time.
2. The change of the sand dune
When Qin Shihuang was alive, he sent alchemists to various places to seek elixirs, hoping to live forever, but this was his delusion in the end, and no one could succeed.
In 210 BC, Qin Shihuang fell seriously ill during his fifth inspection.
At this time, Qin Shihuang realized that his time was approaching, so he wrote a will to ask his eldest son Fusu to come to preside over the funeral, and he inherited the throne. Fusu is kind and has a close relationship with Meng Tian and Meng Yi. When he becomes emperor, he will definitely reuse brothers such as Meng Tian and Meng Yi and stay away from treacherous slander such as Zhao Gao and . Zhao Gao did not want to give up his existing power, so he hid the will and concealed the news of Qin Shihuang's death from the outside world.
Zhao Gao conspired to find Hu Hai and Prime Minister Li Si to support Qin Shihuang's youngest son Hu Hai as the emperor. At first, Li Si did not want to be with Hu Hai, betray Qin Shihuang and let Hu Hai be the emperor. Zhao Gao took Shang Yang , Lu Buwei and others as examples, saying that after Fusu became emperor, he would appoint Meng Tian as prime minister, and Li Si would definitely be abandoned by Fusu or even killed. This scared Li Si and he colluded with Zhao Gao to plan the sand dune incident.
Zhao Gao, Li Si and Hu Hai forged an edict in the name of Qin Shihuang, accusing Fusu of being unfilial and Meng Tian of being ineffective in doing things, and demanding that two people commit suicide. Meng Tian felt that there was a fraud and did not commit suicide. After receiving the edict from "Qin Shihuang", Fusu was very sad and blamed and chose to commit suicide. After Fusu's death, Hu Hai lost his competitors, and they forged Qin Shihuang's will and supported Hu Hai to take the throne.
After Hu Hai became emperor, he eliminated the potential threats to the brothers Meng Tian and Meng Yi. Subsequently, under Zhao Gao's persuasion, Hu Hai killed 32 of his siblings in order to prevent other brothers from coveting the throne. The three brothers of the young master, Jianglu, were forced to commit suicide by Hu Hai. Another 6 young men were killed in Du County. 12 young men were killed in Xianyang , and 10 princesses were killed in Du County. Hu Hai and Zhao Gao asked Chapter Handan to lead 300,000 prisoners who built the Great Wall to quell the rebellion.Zhang Han had outstanding abilities, and wherever he went, the rebels were defeated and were pacified. The soldiers fought desperately on the front line and worked hard for the country. Zhao Gao also fought continuously for his own selfish interests in the court.
In order to monopolize the power, Zhao Gao secretly reported to Hu Hai that Li Si's son had secretly contacted the rebels such as Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, and was preparing to conspire to rebel. Hu Hai was furious and killed Li Si and his son. Zhao Gao also pulled a deer in front of Hu Hai and told him that it was a horse. Hu Hai believed it was a deer and asked the minister for confirmation. Some ministers said that deer was a horse in order to please Zhao Gao. Some ministers remained silent. Afterwards, Zhao Gao generals said that Lu's ministers were either killed or demoted. At this point, there were fewer upright people in the court, and only treacherous people were in power.
4. Battle of Julu
Chapter Han pacified Chen Sheng and Wu Guang's uprising, and defeated the Chu army in the Battle of Dingtao, and led his troops to attack Zhao State . Zhao State is in danger. 6. During the fall of the Qin Empire
King Zhaoxiang of Qin , he deceived King Huai of Chu on the grounds that alliance and captured him . Afterwards, King Zhaoxiang of Qin asked King Huai of Chu to cede the land to Qin State. King Huai of Chu refused to cede land to Qin, which led to him being imprisoned in Qin and eventually died of illness in Qin. The people of Chu hated Qin very much.
Xiang Yu is a descendant of the famous Chu general Xiang Yan . He hated Qin very much in his heart. After he led his troops into Xianyang, he killed the Qin nobles such as Ziying who had surrendered, and burned down the Afang Palace in a fire. The Qin Empire and the magnificent Afang Palace disappeared in the raging fire.
