In July 11949, Mao Anying, who returned to Beijing, entered the Central Propaganda Department of and started translating. Due to his deep Russian background and strong translation ability, Mao Anying's career was smooth sailing. He has translated and published more than a dozen classic works of Marxism-Leninistry and political theory books, and published more than ten articles.
However, Mao Anying has been unhappy in the issue of love and has not found a girlfriend for a long time. Since Mao Anying died in North Korea, Chairman Mao has been more concerned about Mao Anying, his only son. Seeing that his son’s love is not going well and his health is difficult to recover for a long time, he is very concerned. During a conversation, Chairman Mao asked tentatively:
"How do you think your sister-in-law's sister is like?"
A joke made two marriages
Compared to Shao Hua, Chairman Mao and her sister Liu Siqi met earlier. When Chairman Mao and other leaders watched the performance in Yan'an, the performance of "The Abandoned Child" reminded Chairman Mao of his two sons. After the performance, Chairman Mao was still immersed in the atmosphere of the drama and proposed to watch the last scene again.
When Liu Siqi walked onto the stage again, running and shouting "Mom! Mom!", Chairman Mao's eyes became wet again. After the end, Chairman Mao called the young Liu Siqi to him and asked her name and what her parents were called.
"That's my parents." Liu Siqi pointed at Chen Zhenya and Zhang Wenqiu not far away and said.

When Chen Zhenya and his wife came to Chairman Mao, Chairman Mao looked at Zhang Wenqiu and felt familiar. After reminding him, Chairman Mao finally remembered that they had met ten years ago, and Chairman Mao also jokingly agreed to be a family member with Zhang Wenqiu. So he said to Liu Siqi in his arms:
"I will be your godfather, and you will be my goddaughter, okay?"
Liu Siqi said childishly, "Okay!", which made Chairman Mao feel excited. He held Liu Siqi's little hand and took Chen Zhenya and his wife to the cave where he lived.
Since then, Liu Siqi has become a regular visitor to Chairman Mao’s family.
Not long after this incident, Zhang Wenqiu gave birth to her second daughter. In order to reflect the equality of men and women in , Chen Zhenya and his wife changed their traditional habits and asked their second daughter to take their mother's surname and named her Zhang Shaohua. The name "Shao Hua" was her later pseudonym and has been used all the time.
The birth of Shao Hua adds more fun to Chen Zhenya's family. Every day, Chen Zhenya either walked around with Shao Hua in his arms or sang and told stories to Liu Siqi. Although Chen Zhenya has made a lot of jokes about taking care of his family, he is still happy.

Unfortunately, such happy times are always short. In 1939, in order to train senior cadre , the Central Military Commission sent several cadres including Chen Zhenya and his wife to study in the Soviet Union. The young Liu Siqi and Shao Hua went with their parents.
The first time I took a plane abroad, adults and children were overjoyed. No one thought about what kind of hardship this journey would bring to them.
When the plane landed at Lanzhou Airport, Chen Zhenya and his party learned that the plane to the Soviet Union had to wait until three days before there was news. Everyone had to stay in the local Eighth Route Army Office . Unexpectedly, they waited for more than two months.
In order to go to the Soviet Union as soon as possible, Chen Zhenya and others decided to ask Xinjiang to supervise Shengshicai for help. Shengshicai said that the Soviet Union could not send planes and evaded Chen Zhenya and others. Later, Chen Zhenya and others proposed to return to Yan'an, and Sheng Shicai said that the situation in the mainland was complicated and he would send them back after the situation improved.
Just as everyone was waiting for the arrival of the Soviet plane with a glimmer of hope, Sheng Shicai, who was ulterior motives, was planning shameful activities with the Kuomintang spies.
Chen Zhenya was accidentally injured while traveling. Originally, he was not in danger of life and could be discharged from the hospital after a few days of rest. As a result, under Sheng Shicai's instruction, Chen Zhenya was injected with a poisonous injection by the doctor and lost her young life.
Then Germany launched a war of aggression against the Soviet Union. In order to obtain the help of Chiang Kai-shek, Sheng Shicai revealed his true face of "anti-communist". He put Communists and progressives under house arrest on various false charges, including the soon-to-be-born Zhang Wenqiu and the young sisters Liu Siqi and Shao Hua. It has been six years since Zhang Wenqiu and his daughter were released from prison again.

After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in the early 1950s, more than 130 revolutionaries detained in Xinjiang were released after several negotiations by representatives of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The day after they arrived in Yan'an, Chairman Mao made a special trip to visit and recognized Zhang Wenqiu and Liu Siqi, who had grown up, in the crowd at first sight.
Just like eight years ago, Chairman Mao invited Liu Siqi to come to play at home. It was at that time that Liu Siqi met Mao Anying, who had just returned to China for the first time.
At that time, Liu Siqi also regarded Mao Anying as the "big brother". By chance, the relationship between the two was sublimated.
At that time, the center had reached Xibaipo . During the time when Liu Siqi went to visit her mother, she had more contact with Mao Anying. After the two broke up, they still maintained communication contact.
Chairman Mao was filled with joy when he learned that Mao Anying and his goddaughter Liu Siqi were in love. A joke from him turned out to be true. So he invited Zhang Wenqiu to meet and discuss the marriage with her. Zhang Wenqiu agreed.
After the founding of New China, Chairman Mao personally hosted the wedding for Mao Anying and Liu Siqi, and gave a coat as a wedding gift for the two.

Before Mao Anying died, he often went back to Zhongnanhai to visit his father on holidays. At that time, whenever he had the chance, Shao Hua would always go with him, so he had the opportunity to meet and contact Mao Anying.
"Shaohua is a good child"
950 Korean War broke out, and Chairman Mao personally sent Mao Anying to the battlefield. Unfortunately, a few months later, bad news came and Mao Anying died on North Korean land. Chairman Mao was heartbroken when he heard the news. After that, he transformed all his longing for Mao Anying into his love for Mao Anying, his only son.
In addition to caring about Mao Anying's work and study, Chairman Mao also always cared about his health and marriage, and even personally enlightened him to find a partner in love, not to say that he is Mao Zedong's son, but to say that he is an ordinary translator. He also advised him to find someone from a worker or farmer, which may be of some help to him.
Under the guidance of his father, Mao Anying was deeply inspired.
The news of the death of his brother Mao Anying hit Mao Anying deeply, and the recurrence of old illness became increasingly serious until it could not work normally. Chairman Mao immediately took him to his side for treatment, but his condition did not improve. At the advice of experts, Mao Anying was sent to the Soviet Union and received treatment for a period of time.

959 Mao Anying returned to Dalian from the Soviet Union to recuperate. Since he received closed treatment in the Soviet Union, Mao Anying, who had just returned to China, was very haggard and taciturn. In order to adjust Mao Anying's life, the staff often took him to the beach for a walk and arranged the best life care for him.
Considering that Mao Anying had no partner at that time, several comrades from the municipal party committee enthusiastically looked for a female nurse to take care of Mao Anying's life and intentionally cultivate the relationship between the two. After hearing this, Chairman Mao sent a guard to the hospital to find out that the female nurse was 8 years younger than Mao Anying, she was absolutely strong in politics and was very careful in taking care of people.
Chairman Mao was very satisfied when he heard about the situation of the female nurse, but Mao Anying was not very sensitive to emotional matters. He spent more than two months with the female nurse and did not spark any emotional sparks.
Later, Chairman Mao and Mao Anying met once. The son's depressed expression and the relationship was not going well, which made Chairman Mao very concerned, so he tentatively asked his son how he thought Shao Hua was.
Chairman Mao’s words hit Mao Anying’s deep heart. Mao Anying has a deep relationship and an introverted personality. He will not express his thoughts easily. My father asked this, just what he thought. Under his father's inquiry, Mao Anying finally opened his heart and had a relaxed and pleasant conversation with his father.
With the encouragement of his father, Mao Anying began to write letters to Shao Hua on his own initiative. The two of them had letters back and forth, and their relationship gradually began to change.

In early 1960, Zhang Wenqiu went to Dalian to recuperate and took Shao Hua during the winter vacation to visit Mao Anying. The arrival of Zhang Wenqiu made Mao Anying overjoyed. On the one hand, he and Zhang Wenqiu had not seen each other for several years, and had a lot to say in their hearts; on the other hand, the sister Shao Hua who Mao Anying, who was thinking about day and night, finally came to his eyes.
That day, the two young people had a very happy chat, and they didn't walk out of the living room talking and laughing until dinner. After staying in Dalian for more than ten days, Shao Hua hurried back to Beijing to go to school. When he said goodbye to Mao Anying, both of them were reluctant to leave.
Two months later, Liu Siqi told her mother that Chairman Mao asked Shao Hua to accompany her to Dalian to visit Mao Anying. Zhang Wenqiu didn't care at that time. Shao Hua had accompanied Liu Siqi to North Korea before, and this time he went to Dalian seemed natural. Therefore, Zhang Wenqiu urged his daughter to leave as soon as possible and also told Liu Siqi to see Chairman Mao.
This time Chairman Mao asked them to bring a letter to Mao Anying. In addition to greetings to his son, he was more concerned about his son's love life, and encouraged him to have a good talk with Shao Hua. When the three young people read "Shaohua is a good child", they would smile with heart.
Everyone saw that Chairman Mao was intending to match Mao Anying and Shao Hua. Mao Anying looked at Shao Hua. Although he didn't say anything, he felt like he had eaten honey in his heart.
That reunion sublimated the relationship between Mao Anying and Shao Hua and formally established a romantic relationship.

After returning from Dalian, Mao Anying's letter arrived immediately following Shao Hua's entry. As the two communicated more and more frequently, Zhang Wenqiu noticed that his daughter and Mao Anying were in love. Zhang Wenqiu, who has always advocated free love, also felt confident and acquiesced to the relationship between the two.
In order to give the two children more time to spend together, Chairman Mao wanted to transfer Shao Hua to Dalian to school so that he would not delay studying and taking care of Mao Anying, but whether Zhang Wenqiu agreed is still unknown. Therefore, Chairman Mao decided to talk to Zhang Wenqiu, his in-laws, again like he did back then.
"Having her helps An Qing is also a blessing for me Mao Zedong."
Just like discussing the marriage between Mao Anying and Liu Siqi, Chairman Mao invited Zhang Wenqiu to Huairen Hall and sincerely solicited Zhang Wenqiu's opinions. Zhang Wenqiu was satisfied with Mao Anying, a child, and the only thing he was worried about was that Shao Hua was young and could not be the daughter-in-law of the chairman. Unexpectedly, Chairman Mao said:
"The girl has a cheerful personality, is straightforward and does whatever she says. It's not a bad thing. My Mao family really needs a straight-minded person like Shaohua, not afraid of difficulties, not caring about gains and losses, and not caring about others' remarks. I said that Shaohua is a good child, loves to study and seeks progress. Having her helps An Qing is also a blessing for me Mao Zedong!"
As long as Chairman Mao is satisfied, Zhang Wenqiu naturally has nothing to say, and Chairman Mao is also very happy. The old in-laws agreed to the new marriage and they are double in-laws.

In this way, Shao Hua's academic status was transferred from Beijing to Dalian, and he was studying while taking care of Mao Anying. Since the two had more time to spend together, they soon wrote a letter to Chairman Mao in a joint letter, demanding to get married in Dalian.
Mao Anying and Shao Hua’s wedding was ripe. The Dalian Municipal Party Committee handled the procedures for the two and began to prepare for the wedding together. Accompanied by the guards, Shao Hua personally purchased wedding supplies. According to Mao Anying's preference, he chose a set of Zhongshan dress , and bought two fashionable dresses and a pair of high heels.
Out of a passion for photography, Shao Hua also bought a camera and a set of dark room equipment.
On the eve of May Day, Mao Anying and Shao Hua held a wedding at Dalian Hotel . This couple, a 15-year-old lover finally entered the marriage hall. The first secretary of the Dalian Municipal Party Committee personally hosted the wedding, and Shao Hua expressed his gratitude to the Dalian Municipal leaders on behalf of Mao Anying:
"An Qing and I love each other sincerely. Our union is just the beginning of the long journey of love. The road of life has sunshine and wind and rain, but as long as we work together, love and help each other, we will definitely overcome any difficulties and create a better future."
After a burst of warm applause, Mao Anying and Shao Hua clinked glasses with the guests to celebrate. The wedding was simple and warm, with no banquet, only a few plates of wedding candy and peanuts. Each of the guests received a glass of wine and gave blessings to the couple.

After the marriage, Mao Anqing and Shao Hua lived in Dalian for nearly a year. Mao Anying likes to read and does not like outdoor sports. In order to make Mao Anying exercise more, Shao Hua often invites people to play Klang ball with Mao Anying, which is Mao Anying’s favorite sports event.
Although Shao Hua is 15 years younger than Mao Anying, he is like an older sister in life and takes care of Mao Anying meticulously. Every time he goes out, Shao Hua has to help Mao Anying wear and sort out, and bring all the items he needs to go out. If you sweat, you should prepare a towel to wipe your sweat. If it is cold, you should add clothes to him in time. Sometimes Mao Anying said something confused and confused, and Shao Hua had to clarify his clues in time.
1961, considering that both old people were in Beijing, Shao Hua and Mao Anying decided to return to Beijing to live. Chairman Mao agreed to their decision, but did not let them live in Zhongnanhai, nor did he arrange work for them, but handed it over to Chief of Staff Luo Ruiqing.
At that time, Mao Anying and Shao Hua lived in a small alley. Shao Hua, who was busy with his studies, traveled between school, home and Zhongnanhai all day long. Over time, there were pressure on housework and academic work, and there were some small conflicts with Mao Anying.
After hearing this, Chairman Mao wrote several letters to enlighten Shao Hua, urged her to read "Shang Xie" more. After receiving the letter, Shao Hua felt that he had not handled the relationship between husband and wife well, which caused chaos to Chairman Mao, and felt ashamed. According to Chairman Mao’s instructions, she opened “ Yuefu Poetry Collection ”.
Shao Hua suddenly realized that Chairman Mao used "Shangxie" to express his trust in her, and sincerely hoped that she could be happy with Mao Anying for the rest of his life.

Since Shao Hua and Mao Anying were still studying when they got married, Shao Hua was still studying. In order to avoid dropping out of school, they did not dare to have children until 1969. When it was about to give birth, Shao Hua was found to have a fetal umbilical cord around the neck and , and the expected delivery period was over again, and the delivery was in great danger.
At that time, the doctor asked Shao Hua to choose one of the adults and children. Shao Hua asked to keep the child with tears in his eyes. After all, the child is the root of the chairman's family. Shaolin, the sister who was accompanying the child, got the courage from somewhere and loudly asked the doctor to report to Chairman Mao.
Shaolin's temper made the hospital feel scared and reported to Chairman Mao that pregnant women were difficult to give birth and that adults and children could only be covered by one. Chairman Mao saw that the report was so ridiculous that even such a simple operation could not guarantee the safety of the mother and son, so he angrily stated on the report:
"Adults and children need it!"
In January 11970, Shao Hua successfully performed the operation and gave birth to a baby boy safely. After hearing this good news, Chairman Mao showed a rare smile on his face, pondered for a moment, and wrote two strong and powerful words on the rice paper: Xinyu!
976 On September 9, 1976, Mao Anying and Shao Hua learned about the bad news of Chairman Mao's death through the radio. The two hugged each other and cried, telling their longing for Chairman Mao. Due to some special reasons, Mao Anying and Shao Hua were not approved to be Chairman Mao’s wake. The couple discussed all night and finally came up with a solution:
"Build a mourning hall at home to pay tribute to their father."
Picture丨Mao Anying and his son mourned Chairman Mao together
After dawn, with the help of his comrades, Mao Anying and his wife set up a mourning hall at home. Facing Chairman Mao’s portrait, Mao Anying took out his six-year-old son and bowed to his father solemnly. Shao Hua took out his camera to take a picture of this scene, leaving a memorial for this moment.
On the first anniversary of Chairman Mao’s death, Mao Anying’s family and representatives from all over the country slowly walked into the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and paid tribute to the remains of Chairman Mao. It was from that day that Shao Hua carried a heavy burden on his shoulders. Every time Chairman Mao’s birthday and festival day, he would bring his whole family to the memorial hall and pay silence to Chairman Mao and express his infinite longing in his heart.
