○ Wang Qi
Wang Qi of the Tang Dynasty is from Taiyuan and lives in Xingyang . He has never eaten meat and fish food since childhood. In the early years of Dali, he served as the Quzhou Sihu.
He usually likes to recite " Guanyin Sutra ". From childhood to adulthood, he suffered serious illness several times, and he was cured every time because he recited scriptures.
When he recites scriptures, something strange must have been made into strange appearances and came to harass and disturb the trouble, but Wang Qi is focused and not disturbed.
At first, when Wang Qi was nine years old, he was ill for five or six days and could not speak. One day, I suddenly heard someone outside the door calling his name and saying, "I'll catch you." Wang Qi went with him.
walked about fifty miles and came to a government office. The official in the yamen was shocked and said, "Why did you catch this child by mistake? Send him back quickly!" Someone next to him said, "If you catch someone, you can't just put him back like this. You should be a messenger before you can let him go." The official said, "A dog should be dead." He ordered Wang Qi to catch the dog. Wang Qi said that he could not go alone when he was young, and the official asked him to go with the envoy.
On the way, the messenger handed Wang Qi a pill. The pill was shaped like a small ball, and Wang Qi knocked on the dog's door. The dog ran out and Wang Qi threw the pills out. The dog died immediately after swallowing the pills. The official said: "You can go home after completing the mission."
Later, once, Wang Qi was sick again, and suddenly felt that there were 82 people in his limbs, his eyebrows, eyes, mouth and nose, guarding him. The people in his arms, legs and feet constantly attacked the flesh and blood in his body. Whenever they arrived at the wrist joint, they would hit hard and the pain was unbearable.
Wang Qi asked, "Are you going to kill me?" Those people replied, "It's for you to treat you, how do you say it's to kill you?" Wang Qi said, "If it's for treating you, I should give you something delicious." The ghosts shouted happily to bring the meat. The next day, the food was prepared, and the ghosts left after eating, and Wang Qi's illness was cured.
Wang Qi prepared a clean knife in advance. The knife was more than one foot long. Every time he recited the scriptures, he held the knife in his hand. When the infection was infected, he kept putting the knife on the head of the bed to protect himself. Later, when he was seriously ill, he secretly used his strength to recite Guanyin Bodhisattva silently. The night suddenly turned like day, and I saw the blade turning upwards.
At this time, I felt a monk coming over and sitting with Wang Qi. I asked Wang Qi what kind of knife this was. Wang Qi said, "This is the magic killing knife." Then the monk disappeared. After a while, a hammer fell from the air and smashed the knife. After more than two hundred hits, the hammer was smashed, but the knife was not broken.
I saw a large iron canister, which can hold more than 200 stone water, with the mouth facing downwards. There were two burly men standing aside with sticks. Asked Wang Qi, "Do you know what this is?" Wang Qi replied, "I don't know." The big man said, "This is a prison for iron." Qi Yun said, "I'm just about to imprison the devil." As soon as he finished speaking, the big man and the iron can also disappear.
Then I saw a delicious meal carrying about a bed, about a hundred beds, leaving the door. I saw hundreds of people standing in the room in bright clothes. So I saw my late father again, holding a knife in my hand, and said angrily, "There is no room to accommodate you." These people scattered and their illness was cured in a blink of an eye.
During the Qianyuan period, in Jiangling, Wang Qi became seriously ill again, so he thought of Guanyin again. I saw hundreds of ghosts from afar and arrived by boat. I was very hungry when I came from a long way, so I asked Wang Qi for something to eat. Wang Qi asked his family to prepare food and put it in the yard. The ghosts were arranged and sat down.
At this time, two ghosts jumped out of Wang Qi's mouth, sat down and finished eating, and said, "It's not over." Wang Qi asked, "Do you want clothes?" The ghost said, "By the way."
So he asked his family to make dozens of paper clothes, and then make red and green clothes, and burn them in the yard. The ghost was wearing clothes and dispersed, and Wang Qi's illness was cured soon.
During the Yongtai period, Wang Qi was seriously ill again. He recited the "Duxin Sutra" in a meditation under the lamp.Suddenly there was a sound that sounded like a bird flying out, slowly walking upwards from where he was sitting, and then his mouth opened and could not be closed. Wang Qi thought that this must be a devil coming to do it, so he focused on chanting scriptures and calmed down after a while.
Then, he saw a dead body in front of the bed, his belly was bulging, a snake as big as a water tank, and many ghosts, most of whom were dead people I knew in the past, dancing and swaying in front of his eyes.
Wang Qi closed his eyes and recited the scriptures with all his heart twenty-four times, and these ghosts disappeared quietly. After chanting it thirty-nine times, my whole body relaxed and I fell asleep, and the next day I recovered.
And his wife Li, who once encountered a plague, Wang Qi sincerely recited the Heart Sutra for her under the lamp. After reciting four or five sentences, I suddenly saw three heads under the lamp, one of which was Li's maid who died recently. He heard a surprising sound from Li's mouth, and then she stood up by herself and sat up.
Li stared at his eyes, unable to speak, but just pointed at things with his fingers and gestured up and down, as if he had seen something. Wang Qi asked the servant to hold a long sword and slash hard as the place Li pointed.
It took a long time before Li woke up and asked, "Is it Wang Sanlang?" Perhaps he called Wang Qi by his younger brother. Wang Qi asked her what she was referring to, and Li said, "I saw a man in the window with a nose that was several feet long. Then he saw two things in front of the bed, shaped like camels. He also saw red curtains hanging in the room, which were cut and broken by the servants with a knife and disappeared in an instant." Wang Qi then recited the scriptures forty-nine times, and Li was quickly cured.
