Everyone knows that we usually carve their names in places when commemorating people who have made significant contributions. or through some other more timeless method to let more people hear their names.
For example, Zu Chongzhi , in order to commemorate his contribution in mathematics, people also named a hill on the moon after him. Some cities in Vietnam are also named after important figures in their country, so the method of commemorating important figures by naming some places is not our patent.
1. The miserable people
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the country specially built a monument to the people's heroes in order to commemorate the martyrs who died in the battle. For those who have made significant contributions, such as Zuo Quan, his name is used as a place name to commemorate. This is Zuoquan County.
Zuoquan, born in 1905 in his hometown in Hunan. This is a miserable person. Born in the countryside, he experienced the pain of losing his father at the age of three. Although he was still young at that time, he didn't understand these things at all. But under the raising of their mother alone, their lives were also very poor.
After his father passed away, his mother did farm work during the day and needlework at night. Although Zuo Quan didn't know what was going on at home at that time, he saw his mother's hard work. As he grew older, Xiao Zuoquan was very sensible and often helped his mother do something.
Later, he got a little older, so he went to herd cattle and earn some money to subsidize the family income. He knew it was very difficult for his mother to pull up their children alone, so he took the initiative to help his mother share the burden. Once, while grazing cattle, he accidentally heard the sound of reading in the school, and listened to the class while grazing cattle.
didn't expect that his behavior was discovered by the teacher. Seeing that he was interested in learning, the teacher invited Zuo Quan to the classroom to listen to the class. After class, the teacher asked him a few questions, but he didn't expect Zuo Quan to answer questions smoothly, which made the teacher's eyes shine for him.
In order not to lose such a good study seedling, the teacher told Zuo Quan that he could only pay half of the tuition to study in the school. After hearing this news, Zuo Quan felt uneasy. On the one hand, he was a hardworking mother and on the other hand, he was eager for knowledge, so it was difficult for him to make a choice.
2. Started to study in school
Later, when he returned home, he told his mother about this. After listening to the cause and effect of the matter, his mother strongly agreed to study in school. The mother knew in her heart that only studying could change the fate of their family, so she was willing to take out all her savings to let her children go to school.
That's it, Zuo Quan began to learn cultural knowledge. In 1923, Zuo Quan, who was studying in the county town, was influenced by the new revolutionary ideas and came to , Huangpu Military Academy, with his classmates. Later, Zuo Quan joined the Communist Party in 1925 and began to participate in the revolution. In the ranks of the Eighth Route Army, Zuo Quan fought south and north under the leadership of the Central Committee.
During this period, he also went to the Soviet Union to study. After returning from his studies in 1930, Zuo Quan was appointed as the commander of the army to join the battle. After studying abroad, Zuo Quan's combat theory knowledge became richer, and he often used it in practice after returning. It didn't take long for his name to be widely circulated in the Eighth Route Army.
Later, when , the troops led by Zuo Quan were responsible for covering the large army and made great achievements in this process. Of course, this is inseparable from Zuo Quan's correct leadership, but it is such a brave and resourceful combat hero who unfortunately died in the battle to break through the enemy's encirclement in 1942.
At that time, Zuo Quan was only 37 years old. Chairman Mao was deeply regretful when he learned about this. As a young and experienced soldier in the revolutionary team, there were very few talents like Zuo Quan, so Chairman Mao cherished this kind of talent especially.
Later, after Zuo Quan died, Chairman Mao decided to rename the place where he died to Zuo Quan County to commemorate. It was also very difficult to make Chairman Mao’s decision at that time. Many people opposed his approach. they believed that this approach not only had a left-leaning trend, but also played a bad leading role.
3. It has been preserved to this day
. Chairman Mao believes that there is some truth to these statements they oppose, but in the end he still issued the order despite the opposition. After making this decision, Chairman Mao also issued an order, which was strictly prohibited from giving the region a name in the future.
This prevents people from imitating later. With this regulation, people who oppose the naming of Zuoquan County will naturally have nothing to say. Although this regulation is for the future, after the founding of New China, many counties and regions named after people have changed their names back to their original names, but Zuoquan County has always been retained.
renamed back to those areas where they were originally named. They did not violate the regulations, but were spontaneously made by the masses. However, in this process, Zuoquan County has never changed and is still used. From this we can see that Zuo Quan does have a great influence in the local area, and people agree with his significant contributions, so no one has ever thought of changing his name to this day.
