One day in September 1957, three policemen came to the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and presented an arrest warrant to Xin Shusheng, a cadre of the Investigation and Research Office who was in a meeting, handcuffed him and put him in a police car.
The colleagues were shocked and confused: Xin Shusheng is an old revolutionary who has passed the War of Resistance Against Japan. I have never heard of him making a mistake, so why did he suddenly arrest him?
However, Xin Shusheng said extremely calmly to the police and said, "I had expected such a day."
However, when the news reached his hometown, the local people were also surprised. They said in unison: "If Xin Shusheng is a bad person, there will be no good people in this world."
Why do the villagers say that? Why is Xin Shusheng confident and why is he arrested?
The reason why the villagers said that is because the Xin family has a good reputation in the local area and has made great contributions to the anti-Japanese war. They can be called "the whole family of loyalty and martyrs."
Xin Jiazhou's father Xin Zhujiu, Yidu (now Qingzhou City) Normal University president
Xin Shusheng's father Xin Jiazhou was born in 1898. He is a graduate of the Law Department of Chaoyang University of Beijing, an official of the Republic of China, and an enlightened person.
When he was middle-aged, he entered the business world and invested in Fengnian and Huifeng Flour Company. He served as the chairman of Yuxing Chemical Factory and Renfeng Spinning Mill. He founded the Jingwen Silk and Satin Store. In 1930, he became the president of Jinan Chamber of Commerce.
Xin Jiazhou is surrounded by a wealthy man and is a famous local tycoon in Jinan. There is a saying in the local area that "half the Daming Lake belongs to the Xin family."
But he is not like some people who are unkind to the rich, but help the poor and are loyal, and are loyal to the poor and generous, and is famous for Shandong's "Timely Rain".
What is more worthy of praise is that he is also a patriot. After the Japanese army invaded Shandong, he resolutely brought his two sons and two daughters (sons Xin Shusheng, Xin Shuming, and daughters Xin Rui , Xin Ying) to join the Eighth Route Army.
When he joined the Eighth Route Army, he also brought 50,000 ocean .
The purchasing power of an ocean was equivalent to about RMB 700 today during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and 50,000 oceans was 35 million. It was a huge sum of money both at that time and now.
, especially for our army in difficult times, it is definitely a timely help.
Therefore, the Shandong responsible person excitedly held him and praised him as "Shandong Timely Rain". Afterwards, Xin Jiazhou donated generously many times to donate to the anti-Japanese armed forces, and successively donated several carriages of silver rounds to the troops.
In this way, the reputation of "Shandong Timely Rain" has spread throughout Qilu.
Xin Jiazhou chose to join our army. When he was in school in Beijing, he met Deng Enming. Influenced by him, he had a preliminary understanding of revolutionary ideas and participated in the May Fourth Movement.
Xin Jiazhou once served as the director of the Weixian official Qian Bureau. He was deeply touched by the corruption in the officialdom of Chiang Army and was completely desperate for the Chiang family, believing that China's hope lies with our army.
Therefore, after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Xin Jiazhou organized a self-defense group in the Anti-Japanese War and organized the people to fight against Japan. But he soon felt that he was alone and could survive and develop in the face of the vicious Japanese army.
So he resolutely decided to join our army.
Xin Jiazhou abandoned his wealth and sent his mother and young son to his father who served as president of the South Chamber of Commerce in Jinan, and then came to the rear of the Eighth Route Army in Teng County, and joined the Eighth Route Army with one son and two daughters.
The eldest daughter Xin Rui
When Xin Jiazhou sent his mother and young son to Jinan, he said to his father: "China will win, Japan will lose. We will fight back to Jinan in a few years. Victory belongs to the people."
From then on, Xin Jiazhou and his children resolutely devoted themselves to the anti-Japanese struggle under the training of the organization.
He himself is responsible for the logistics work of the Eighth Route Army, and his eldest son Xin Shusheng acts as secretary to the army leader.
The troops have just recruited a group of teenagers aged 12 to 13 to serve as young servants, and Xiao Xinying has also become one of them.
20-year-old Xin Rui stayed in the Eighth Route Army as secretary.

What is even more touching is that Xin Jiazhou and his family dedicated three relatives to the revolution.
Xin Jiazhou's 23-year-old eldest daughter Xin Rui was injured during a sweeping raid on December 17, 1941. At the last moment, she pulled the grenade and died together with the enemy.
During this sweep, Xin Rui's lover Comrade Chen Ming also sacrificed heroically.
A Year later, Xin Jiazhou's second son, Xin Shuming, died heroically to cover his comrades' breakout.
In two years, Xin Jiazhou lost one son, a daughter and a son-in-law, and was in a very sad mood. The leaders and comrades kept comforting and persuading him. The strong Xin Jiazhou not only did not feel sad and negative because of this, but turned grief into strength and worked selflessly.
The Provincial Party Committee commended Xin Jiazhou's family for their efforts at that time, saying that he was "three heroes in one family, two generations of revolutionaries."
Therefore, Xin Jiazhou's hometown elders do not believe that his eldest son Xin Shusheng has done something sorry for the organization.
However, Xin Shusheng knew it in his mind because he did something wrong in the most difficult time of the War of Resistance.
After Xin Shusheng participated in the revolution, his pseudonym Zhao Xin began to engage in underground work. After the Japanese army occupied Jinan, he served as secretary of the Jinan Working Committee.
The secretary of the Working Committee is a very dangerous job. Both Xin Shusheng's ex-boys have happened.
In February 1939, the Jinan Working Committee was destroyed by Japanese special forces, and Comrade Chen Yinxian, the Secretary of the Working Committee, died.
In April of the same year, Shandong Branch rebuilt the Jinan Working Committee, and the successor secretary Wang Jianxin also had his identity exposed in October 1940.
It can be seen from this that Xin Shusheng faces the test of life and death and will be arrested at any time.
Sure enough, I have only been in office for a little over a year, and something happened to Xin Shusheng.
In November 1941, the Japanese army mobilized more than 50,000 troops to carry out a cruel "mopping up" of the Yimeng Mountain base.
During the "sweeping", Li Chengzhi, deputy director of the War Trade Union of the Shandong Branch of the Communist Party of China, Ma Nan, secretary of the general branch of the Shandong Branch, and Chen Xian, the printed member of the " Dazhong Daily ", were captured by the Japanese army.
The head of the Japanese special department Takeyama is a capable general under Doihara and is very cunning.
After escorting our party members to Jinan, Wushan did not interrogate them severely, but instead put them under house arrest.
Because Ma Nan was injured, Wushan was also very concerned. Not only did he eat and drink, he asked a doctor to heal his injuries, but he also specially found a nanny to take care of her daily life, trying to soften her position and ask her to tell the secrets of our party.
Ma Nan was not influenced by the enemy's temptation, but was calm on the surface, waiting behind the scenes, contacting the Shandong branch, and escaping the tiger's mouth; but she lived in Jinan and could not find a channel for external contact for the moment.
She suddenly remembered that she had a cousin in Jinan.
This cousin is Xin Shusheng.
Who asked him to contact him? Ma Nan thought of the nanny.
The little nanny who served Ma Nan was understanding and caring and considerate to Ma Nan. She also showed resentment towards the Japanese army and a sense of justice in her words.
So, Ma Nan wrote a letter asking the nanny to give it to Xin Shusheng, hoping to contact the branch through Xin Shusheng.
Of course, Ma Nan didn't know that his cousin Xin Shusheng was the head of an underground organization, he only knew that he was pursuing progress and could rely on him.
Who knew that this would be the fool of Japanese spies.
Because this so-called "nanny" is the Japanese spy installed by Wushan next to Ma Nan, the nanny directly handed it to Wushan after receiving the letter.
Therefore, Xin Shusheng's identity was exposed.
In January 1942, Xin Shusheng was sorting out the documents. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door outside the door. When he looked through the window, he saw several strangers. He immediately realized something was wrong.
Because if you knock on the door, it will knock on the door rhythmically.
He quickly stuffed the files into the toilet, washed them away with water, and then calmly went to open the door.
As expected, the Japanese spy came in.
Because of a traitor betrayal, Xin Shusheng was arrested by the Japanese army and escorted to the Japanese intelligence agency in Jinan. Lihua Mansion located on Xiema Road.
captured the number one person from the underground organization in Jinan. Japanese spy chief Nobumi Sumi was overjoyed. He and Wushan carefully formulated the interrogation plan, determined to take out what they wanted from Xin Shusheng at any cost.
At first, the Japanese promised Xin Shu to have a high official position and a generous salary.
Xin Shusheng scoffed at this and looked down upon it, Wushan felt disappointed.
The enemy brought another beauty, who was by Xin Shusheng's side day and night, but it didn't work.
Wu Shan was furious: "I don't believe that his mouth cannot be pried open; if it is not soft, we will be hard."
Xin Shusheng has participated in the revolution since he was 19 years old. He has been 23 years at that time. He has a firm position, a strong will, and he will not eat hard ones.
The Japanese army tortured him for seven days, and all the tortures were used, but they still didn't get what they wanted.
Xin Shusheng was knocked unconscious many times, but after waking up, he still said the same thing: "I don't know."
torture and confession were useless to revolutionaries made of this special material, and the Japanese army was in poverty.
At this time, Wushan learned about Xin Shusheng's true identity from a traitor. Xin Zhujiu, the grandfather of Xin Shusheng, was in Jinan and was the director of Shandong Library at that time.
Therefore, Wushan threatened: "Xin Shusheng, if you can't bear to let your old grandfather be in prison and torture, please cooperate with us."
The enemy kidnapped Xin Shusheng's grandfather and tortured him.
Xin Shusheng felt soft-hearted when he saw it, and he confessed to the enemy the list of underground organizations.
Wushan was overjoyed when he saw it and thought he had finally made great contributions.
However, without expecting it, Wushan tried his best to end up with a dog bite and had a half liked it.
It turns out that after Xin Shusheng explained the list of underground organizations, Wu Shan was not satisfied. He was too greedy and thought of a more vicious trick.
He told Xin Shusheng: "You can go out, go back to your organization, and continue to be your working committee secretary, and we will keep it a secret for you."
He thought that the betrayal Xin Shusheng would definitely not want to go back, and was worried that he would be "extinguished" by his comrades after discovering it.
Who knew that Xin Shusheng agreed without hesitation, which made Wushan secretly proud; because in this way, all the activities organized by Jinan underground were at their control.
didn't expect that this would make all the efforts of Wushan have been wasted.
It turns out that Xin Shusheng's conscience has not faded after his rebellion. He feels sorry for the organization's training for him for decades. His father will not forgive his son who is a traitor when he knows it.
He began to be uneasy, entangled, and guilty was pressing on his heart like a mountain.
He is eager to return to the organization, and then make up for his mistakes and reduce the losses of the organization.
Returning to his residence, he immediately wrote a letter to the Shandong Branch, saying that he had "submitted" to the Japanese army and hoped that the leaders would take first aid measures as soon as possible to avoid losses. After the letter was written, Xin Shusheng quickly sent someone to send it out, but when the sender arrived at Tai'an , he encountered a car accident and was injured and hospitalized. The letter could not be delivered on time.
Xin Shusheng was anxious when he learned about it, so he had to come to the home of Xu Weizhong, a member of the Jinan Working Committee. As soon as he met, he said straight to the point: "Xiao Xu, I have been betrayal."
Xun Weizhong is also from Shandong. He has worked with Xin Shusheng for many years and is still a subordinate of Xin Shusheng. He didn't believe the leader's words and said disapprovingly: "Secretary Xin, what are you kidding?"
Xin Shusheng said with a serious expression: "Really, please let the comrades transfer quickly, otherwise it will be too late!"
Xin Shusheng also revealed an important information. The Shandong Branch sent a traffic officer Zhang Qingchi to Ji to convey the branch's instructions. The Japanese army was already informed and wanted to attack him.
When Xu Weizhong woke up like a dream, he was extremely shocked.
So he immediately notified Zhang Qingchi, but the suggestion he made did not expect that Zhang Qingchi would fall into the trap and surrender to the enemy.
"At present, the situation of the underground organization in Jinan has been controlled by the enemy. If we go deep into the tiger's den, we can stabilize the enemy, gain time, and let other comrades transfer, and minimize the losses..."
Zhang Qingchi thought about it and felt that the other party made sense, so he nodded and "suburned himself" to Wushan.
However, Zhang Qingchi and Xin Shusheng had communicated with each other before, and only explained the situation that Xin Shusheng had explained, and did not talk about anything else.
A week later, Wushan "releases" Zhang Qingchi and "replaces" it in Shandong Provincial Library .
Naturally, he was actually under house arrest by the Japanese army.
Xin Shusheng was anxious about this and wanted to rescue Zhang Qingchi. He said to Wushan: "Zhang Qingchi has been in Ji for some time. He should be asked to return to the Shandong Branch to report on his work, otherwise the branch will doubt me."
But the cunning Wushan did not agree to let him release him, so he asked Xin Shusheng to send someone to the Shandong Branch to deliver the letter, so that the branch would be relieved.
So, Xin Shusheng decided to send Xu Weizhong to the Shandong Branch.
After Xu Weizhong arrived at the Shandong Branch, he immediately reported on Xin Shusheng's status, the current situation of the Jinan Working Committee, and Wushan's conspiracy.
After research, the leaders of the Shandong Branch instructed the Jinan Working Committee to take advantage of the situation, stabilize the enemy, and take the opportunity to withdraw.
In April 1942, the Shandong Branch decisively adjusted the leadership team of the Jinan Working Committee and appointed Xu Weizhong as secretary of the Working Committee to lead underground work.
Wushan notified Xin Shusheng to arrest Xu Weizhong and intend to obtain more secrets.
Xin Shusheng told Xu Weizhong about Wushan’s plan, hoping that he would transfer immediately.
But Xu Weizhong did not do that, and planned to wait for the enemy to come to him. He wanted to sacrifice himself to let more comrades escape.
One day in early June 1942, a group of spies broke into Xu Weizhong's residence and arrested him.
Wushan has high hopes for Xu Weizhong, and he has delicious food and drinks, hoping to get important information from our underground organization from him.
Xu Weizhong went to prison and calmly dealt with the Japanese army, eating as soon as he was asked, drinking as he was asked, just not revealing a single word of secret.
Wushan was helpless, so he repeated the trick and played the family card again, and captured Xu Weizhong's girlfriend Guo Jieyu.
Wu Shan shamelessly said to Xu Weizhong: "Your girlfriend is young and beautiful. Chinese people have a virgin complex. You won't watch her clean and innocent, be defiled, right?" One sentence really hit Xu Weizhong's weakness.
Xu Weizhong and Guo Jieyu are in love. After several years of love, he loves each other very much, but they respect each other very much. His girlfriend wants to express his dedication to him on the wedding night.
However, Xu Weizhong did not compromise with Wushan because of his children's affair. He angrily rebuked: "I believe you will not be so shameless, but I tell you that no matter what method I use, I will not betray comrades."
Wushan scratched his head and was completely useless. He understood that he had encountered a tough problem.
Wushan was in a dilemma at this time. Xu Weizhong was the head of the Jinan underground organization. Only by letting go could he grasp the trends of the Jinan underground organization and he could "sell the long line and catch big fish". However, as the plan was about to succeed, Xu Weizhong was not good at it, but he just didn't buy it.
At this moment, Xin Shusheng came.
It turned out that after Xu Weizhong was arrested, the Jinan Working Committee and Shandong Branch line was broken, so the Jinan Working Committee hoped that Xin Shusheng would persuade Wushan and release Zhang Qingchi to let him go to the branch.
Xin Shusheng said, "Mr. Wushan, after you ask Zhang Qingchi to go back, you will still get valuable information. If you put him under house arrest, you will get nothing."
Wushan felt it was reasonable and had to nod and said, "Okay, just do what you said."
In July of the same year, Zhang Qingchi returned to the Shandong Branch and reported to the person in charge about the situation of the underground organization in Jinan.
The head of the Shandong Branch believes that Xu Weizhong was not released after being arrested, which means that Wushan distrusts Xu Weizhong. Under this circumstance, Wushan may give up the original plan of "selling long-term fish to catch big fish", so that the underground organization in Jinan will be in danger.
Therefore, the branch decided to transfer all underground organizers who had been confessed by Xin Shusheng from Jinan.
Under the arrangement of Zhang Qingchi, all relevant party members of Jinan underground organization withdrew from Jinan on September 2.
Episode 0 After several months of hard work, Wushan did not open a breakthrough in Xu Weizhong. He finally gave up his original strategy and planned to catch all the underground organizations in Jinan.
But the spies were defeated without exception. None of the underground organizations told by Xin Shusheng was caught, and they have been in vain in the past few months.
Wushan felt that he was being fooled, so he could only spread a lot of unknown fire on Xu Weizhong, torture him continuously, and vent his anger.
But he was still unwilling to accept it. Could it be that Xu Weizhong was made of steel?
However, it turns out that Xu Weizhong is indeed made of special materials. His legs were broken and his arms were discounted, but he just did not surrender to the enemy.
In February 1943, Wushan lost his patience and 26-year-old secretary of the Jinan Working Committee Xu Weizhong was brutally killed by Japanese spies. When
was executed, Xu Weizhong said to Wushan without fear, "The Chinese can't kill them!"
Although Xin Shusheng had rebelled, he later reported to the organization and implemented the counter-espionage plan of the Shandong Branch, and did not cause too much damage to the organization.
Therefore, after Xin Shusheng withdrew from the base in September of the same year, he was expelled from the organization's identity. After
, Xin Shusheng continued to work for the organization, serving as secretary of Beihai Bank of Shandong Province, head of the Commercial Section of the Provincial Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and head of the Commercial Group of the Investigation and Research Department of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. In 1957, Xin Shusheng's historical problems were revealed, he was arrested by the public security organs, sentenced to 10 years in prison, and died of illness in 1984.
Xin Shusheng's father Xin Jiazhou, who contributed to the revolution, died in 1966 at the age of 87. The story of
also tells us: underground work is very cruel and not as romantic as in movies and TV dramas.
