940, Wang Jingqing was already 13 years old at this time. Although he had grown a lot, due to long-term malnutrition, he looked very thin. However, these did not stop Wang Jingqing from participating in the revolution. During this period, he heard about the various deeds of the Red Army and learned that this was a team that was in charge of the peasants.
When the Red Army came to Shaanxi, even the former landlord bully had to lower his head, which indirectly made Wang Jingqing very grateful for the Red Army's actions.

For various considerations, at the age of 13, he came to the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region to find a leader of the Red Army at that time and requested to join the Red Army.
"Report, my name is Wang Jingqing, I am 13 years old this year, and I want to join the Red Army." Wang Jingqing, who is a little thin, is standing in front of the Red Army leaders at this time and asks for instructions to join the Red Army.
The Red Army leader appreciated Wang Jingqing's courage, but expressed concern for his body, and said: "Hahaha, your kid is so courageous, but it's too small, you'll talk about it in a few years."
Wang Jingqing was very anxious when he heard this reply and hurriedly said: "I can do it, just keep me, I'm very capable."
The Red Army leader smiled and said: "We are going to kill the enemy, not working on the battlefield."
For a moment, Wang Jingqing didn't know how to answer what the Red Army leader said. But he did not give up and kept begging the leader to join the Red Army.
Finally, everyone was moved by Wang Jingqing's persistent spirit and agreed to his request.
However, Wang Jingqing did not officially become a qualified soldier. Due to physical reasons, the army leaders arranged him to the rear to do some logistics work.
Wang Jingqing was not dissatisfied with such a life. He was very happy and was happy that he could start a new life.
In the army, he performed very well. He rushed to do all kinds of dirty and tiring tasks and never was lazy. He also longs for advanced knowledge in life. Whenever he has time, he will take the initiative to learn books about revolutionary ideas.

Due to climate factors, Wang Jingqing got a serious illness and almost lost his combat ability. The temporary treatment did not bring him back, but instead made him feel that his condition was even worse.
Under this background, the relevant leaders of the army hope to send him back to the central government for proper treatment. It would be a pity if they died on the battlefield due to illness.
Wang Jingqing decisively expressed his attitude after learning this news: "I can still fight, our war has not yet won, I can't just go back to the center like this."
While speaking, Wang Jingqing once wanted to stand up and return to the battlefield, but his weak body betrayed him. I almost fell as soon as I stood up, but fortunately I was helped up.
Although everyone lamented Wang Jingqing's tenacious character, they still did not agree to his request. Therefore, Wang Jingqing was almost forced to be sent back to the country.
Wang Jingqing, who returned to China, was soon treated and recovered from health. He returned to work in the Central Guard Division, but he did not return to Chairman Mao, but followed Liu Shaoqi to serve as a security work.
Wang Jingqing, who came to the central guard room, had not seen Li Na for a long time, and he didn't even know what the little girl had turned into.
Not long after, he was transferred to Yunnan Provincial Military Region as the Chief of Staff of Nujiang Military Sub-district, and also as the president of the China Red Cultural Exchange Promotion Association.
