In Chairman Mao's revolutionary career, he was on the verge of danger many times. The most dangerous time was once caught by the regiment chief and was likely to be shot. But as Liu Yazi described, Chairman Mao had a kind of "great courage" in him. He always put his personal safety aside and miraculously turned the risk into danger. Whenever he talks about these experiences, Chairman Mao is always calm and calm, but there is only one time that makes Chairman Mao feel cold after many years.
Autumn Harvest Uprising was caught by the regiment before
As we all know, the Autumn Harvest Uprising led by Chairman Mao himself broke out on September 9, 1927. However, few people know that just the day before, Chairman Mao was caught by the regiment and almost died. This is also the only time Chairman Mao was arrested in his life.
On September 8, 1927, Chairman Mao was disguised as he rushed to Tonggu with Pan Xinyuan, Secretary of the Liuyang County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and took the wrong path because he was separated from the guide. He was caught by the Qingxiang Team of the League Defense Bureau in Zhangjiafang Town, Liuyang.
At that time, it was when the landlords and bullies made a comeback after the failure of revolution . They organized a clean village team to take crazy revenge against the revolutionary masses. According to the policy of Chiang Kai-shek's mistaken killing one thousand more than letting go of one. As long as he is suspected of being the Communist Party, he will be shot directly when he is caught.
Scholar meets a soldier, and it is hard to explain it clearly. Chairman Mao worked for the three regiments guarding him, hoping that they could let him go and Pan Xinyuan. He also said that he had dozens of silver dollars on him, and as long as he let him go, the money would belong to them.
Later, Chairman Mao talked about this experience of distress with Snow :
I didn’t find the opportunity until I was about 200 meters away from the headquarters of militia . I broke free and ran into the field. I ran to a high ground, and there was a pond below, with very tall grass growing around it. I hid there until sunset, the soldiers were following me and forced some farmers to search for them. There were several times when they were very close. There were one or two times I could almost touch them with my hands. Although I had given up any hope for five or six times and thought I would be caught again, somehow I was not discovered by them. It was dusk at the end and they gave up searching. I immediately crossed mountains and ridges and rushed all night. I didn't wear shoes, and the soles of my feet were very badly scratched. On the way, I met a friendly farmer who gave me a place to live and later led me to a neighboring county. I had seven dollars around me, and I used it to buy a pair of shoes, an umbrella and some food. When I finally arrived at the peasant armed forces, I only had two copper plates left in my pocket.
It was precisely because of its own mechanism and the sympathy of ordinary people for the revolution at that time that Chairman Mao was able to survive.
Wyaobao was attacked
In November 1935, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China arrived at Wayaobao. The small town of Wayaobao became the political center of the central government for more than half a year. In December 1935, the famous Wayaobao conference was held here.
However, Wayaobao, a stronghold that cannot reach the size of a small county town, cannot become a place for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for a long time. Moreover, Chiang Kai-shek learned that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was in Wayaobao and strictly ordered the Northeast Army of to advance northward to achieve the goal of eliminating the Red Army of . At this time, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China had established a certain degree of tacit understanding with the Northeast Army, but the Northeast Army had to accept Chiang Kai-shek's orders. In order to win over the Northeast Army and avoid internal combustion, the central government took the initiative to propose to the Northeast Army on June 14 to give up Wayaobao, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's headquarters to the Northeast Army. In this way, the Northeast Army can explain to Chiang Kai-shek.
When the Kuomintang Gaoshuangcheng cavalry battalion heard that the CCP was preparing to evacuate Wayao Fort, and the Northeast Army had not yet entered, it was considered a good opportunity to make a fortune and made a contribution, so it took the opportunity to launch a sneak attack.
At this time, the central government has transferred the garrison troops to the front line, with less than 100 people taking on the alert task. Although there are about 1,000 students from the Military and Political University of the Chinese Anti-Japanese Red Army in Wayaobao, there are not many weapons.
The Red Army’s defense line may be broken by the enemy at any time. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is likely to be wrapped in “dumplings” by the enemy, and the situation is extremely urgent.
Zhou Enlai, who discovered the enemy situation, could only wake up Chairman Mao immediately and let the guards protect Chairman Mao to retreat to the south gate. As soon as Mao Zedong and his group turned to the intersection, a group of enemy troops suddenly rushed out of the slanting alley. Guard staff officer Chen Youcai immediately rushed up, killing and injuring several enemies on the spot, and the bullets fired by the enemy were almost stuck. The central leader's scalp flew out. The enemy could not understand the reality of the team ahead and finally retreated. Mao Zedong, Zhang Wentian and his group finally retreated safely from the south gate.
Chengnanzhuang was in danger, and three bombs fell beside Chairman Mao
On April 11, 1948, Chairman Mao came to Chengnanzhuang in Fuping County, Hebei Province. His safety was personally arranged and protected by Nie Rongzhen of Jinchaji Military Region , Jinchaji Military Region , personally responsible for the arrangement of security. .
On the morning of May 2, Chairman Mao, who was working until three in the morning, took sleeping pills and was sleeping soundly. At this moment, an air defense alarm sounded on the top of the mountain to the north of Chengnan Village.
Guardian Li Yinqiao immediately ran out to see the situation, and saw two B-25 bombers hovering over Chengnan Village. Li Yinqiao suddenly felt something was wrong. Chairman Mao’s room was 30 meters away from the air-raid shelter. If the movements were slow, it was likely that there would be danger. However, the plane flew away at this time.
Experienced Li Yinqiao knew that this was the enemy's reconnaissance aircraft , and the real bombing would arrive soon. Just in case, Li Yinqiao asked the guards to prepare stretchers. If the situation was wrong, he immediately carried Chairman Mao into the air raid shelter with a stretcher.
When the enemy plane arrived again, Li Yinqiao shouted loudly: Chairman! President! Something happened.
Chairman Mao, who woke up from his sleep, learned about the situation. He was not anxious or impatient and said indifferently: Give me a cigarette first.
Nie Rongzhen, who was next to him, was very anxious and quickly said to Chairman Mao: Chairman, the enemy's missile is about to bomb, you should hurry to go to the air raid shelter. Please leave immediately, I am responsible for your safety.
Chairman still had no intention of entering the air raid shelter. The situation was very dangerous. Li Yinqiao didn't care about so much. He raised Chairman Mao's arm, the guard next to him picked up the stretcher, and several people worked together to lift Chairman Mao up and ran towards the air raid shelter together.
Just as everyone left the room, they heard a scream above their heads. They felt the land under their feet tremble suddenly. With a loud "puff" sound, three bombs tied together and fell on the hair Next to the Chairman, everyone could touch it with their hands.
Everyone threw away the stretcher, and Chairman Mao ran to the air raid shelter during the holidays. Soon, there were loud bombs behind him, and the enemy plane bombs exploded in the military compound. After inspection, it was found that the explosion was very destructive. Not only did a lot of shrapnel fly into the room, but the thermos bottles and doors and windows were all shattered.
html Fortunately, the three bombs tied together did not explode, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable."The Darkest Moment" comes from Zhang Guotao
Whether it is being caught by the regiment before the Autumn Harvest Uprising, or being sneak attacked by Wayao Fort, or even a bomb in Chen Nanzhuang landed beside him, Chairman Mao always treated it calmly with his fearless revolutionary spirit, and finally, It is also an understatement to turn danger into safety. I don’t think it’s anything great.
However, in decades of revolutionary career, there are a period of history that he calls the "darkest moment" of his life. Why is this?
It turns out that this time the danger does not come from the enemy ahead, but from the inside.
1935's Long March , after Central Red Army met with Red Fourth Front Army . When Zhang Guotao saw that the Central Red Army was not the main force they imagined, they were ragged and had a good face, and began to covet the power of the Central Committee.
On the surface, there was a dispute between the Party Central Committee represented by Comrade Mao Zedong and Zhang Guotao over the direction of "going north" or "going south". In fact, it was Zhang Guotao's personal ambition to fight for leadership. At that time, the party was facing division, and there was even an uncertain civil war .
Just when the two sides were having a fight and they were having a dispute, Ye Jianying immediately reported to Chairman Mao after seeing Zhang Guotao leading the right-wing army to Chen Changhao's telegram, the enterprise split and endangered the Party Central Committee.Chairman Mao made a quick decision and led the First and Third Armies of the Red Front Army and the Military Commission Column to head north overnight.
When I learned that Hongyi and the Third Army headed north, there was a commotion in the troops of the Central Plains Red Fourth Front Army of the Right Army. Someone called the front-line command center for instructions: "The Central Red Army is gone, and he is even alert to us, will he fight?" Chen Changhao hesitated. At the critical moment, Xu Xiangqian decisively and clearly ordered: "There is no reason why the Red Army fights the Red Army. ! You must obey the command and cannot fight no matter what! "This prevents a civil war of flesh and blood.
In the past, bullets came from the front, no matter who fell down, there were people behind them who could continue to raise the banner of revolution. This time, if two rows of people were in civil war with each other, it would be the most irreversible loss for the Chinese revolution.
The reason why Chairman Mao called this history the "darkest moment" was not for his personal safety, but for the future of the entire revolution.
For revolutionaries, the last one is the safety of their own.
