Guangzhou has hired a design company with cultural relics protection survey and design qualifications to conduct on-site surveys and prepare a design plan for the renovation project of Xiong Shili’s former residence. At present, the renovation project design plan has passed expert review. The Guangzhou Municipal Government stated that funds have been arranged to support the repair work. The Hualong Town Government of Panyu District applied to the provincial government for 2 million yuan in repair funds for Guanhai Building and was approved. The funds have now been released to the Panyu District Finance Bureau.
