Officially stated that developers should be more likely to port their games to PS VR, whether from existing PS5 development or other VR systems. PS VR2's game development uses the same SDK as PS5 games. Through close connection with the PS5 SDK, it is easier for developers to create games that support PS VR2 .
In addition, the production environment of PS VR2 also supports games created using Unity and Unreal Engine. With standardized controller interfaces and button settings similar to other VR platforms, games developing PS VR2 should be much simpler than before.
Sony said that one feature that developers will favor is GPU's FSR (Flexible Scale Rasterization). This function combines the tracking technology of PS VR2 and center point rendering. It can freely change the pixel density according to the player's line of sight, further optimizing rendering. In development environment , the force feedback of the headset will be tested through many example programs that vibrate based on what you see and hear, allowing developers to test the vibration effects of examples based on gunfire, footsteps, jumps, etc.
