In the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard , there is really no "melon" to be eaten. According to documents submitted by Microsoft to the UK Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA), while ensuring that the " Call of Duty " series continues to be released on Sony PS5 in accordance with the agreement between Sony Sony and Activision Blizzard, it also hides the terms of Sony restricting Activision from bringing the "Call of Duty" series to XGP.
According to this agreement, the terms reached by Activision Blizzard and Sony include restrictions on Activision Blizzard's inability to add Call of Duty to the XGP game library for several years. If Microsoft promises to continue to carry out the agreement between Blizzard and Sony, even if it acquires Activision Blizzard, it will take several more years for Microsoft to add the Call of Duty series to the XGP game library.
This agreement is likely to be a criticism of the UK CMA for expanding its investigation into Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, and claims that the CMA is adopting Sony's complaints without adopting proper scrutiny. This includes the problem of Sony losing the Call of Duty series, which is indeed a bit untenable.
