On October 8, the Ministry of Transport and the National Development and Reform Commission announced the list of the fourth batch of national multimodal transport demonstration projects. Among them, the "Shijiazhuang's "one-core drive, multi-point support, internal and external linkage, point-axis radiation" container road-rail-sea multimodal transport demonstration project for building the inland logistics center of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Province with Shijiazhuang International Land Port as the core and Dingzhou International Land Port and Hengshui International Land Port as the support is listed.
General Manager of Shijiazhuang International Land Port Liu Jinpeng said that becoming a national multimodal transport demonstration project will effectively promote the formation of an "three-in-one" industrial integration and development ecosystem of goods and trade, processing trade, and supply chain services, which is of great significance to building an important base for modern trade and logistics on track and serving Hebei.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang International Land Port has continuously improved its multimodal transport level. The China-Europe freight train has achieved good operation, with 13 international routes covering more than 40 countries and regions in Asia and Europe. The number of China-Europe freight trains has been ranked first in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei for many years. In terms of sea-rail transport , a sea-rail transport mechanism has been established with Tianjin Port, Huanghua Port , Jingtang Port , Qingdao Port and other ports. In terms of road-rail intermodal transport, a number of domestic intermodal transport routes have been opened from major logistics hubs such as Shijiazhuang to Urumqi, Baotou , Chengdu, Xi'an, Guangzhou, and Changchun.
