Evergreen Shipping profits in the first three quarters have exceeded the whole year of last year, and may break the last year's record and issue a 60-month year-end bonus.
Since this year, Evergreen Hai's operating profits have set new historical records. Although freight rates fell by 60% in the third quarter, Evergreen Shipping's single-quarter profit remained at NT$4100 billion. The cumulative net profit after tax in the first three quarters was NT$304.35 billion (approximately RMB 69.648 billion), an annual increase of 92.28%, exceeding the profit of NT$239 billion last year.
Last year, Evergreen Shipping issued an average of 40 months of year-end bonus, and how much year-end bonus will be paid this year has also become the focus of the outside world. It is reported that Evergreen Shipping's year-end bonus will reach "60 months", exceeding last year's record.
People in the shipping industry in Taiwan believe that Evergreen Shipping’s year-end bonus last year is 40 months, with its profit performance this year better than last year, and the year-end will not be worse than last year. "60 months is not impossible, the probability is very high." According to the monthly salary of Evergreen Marine Grassroots employees, the year-end bonus is as high as NT$3 million (approximately RMB 683,900).
In response to this, Evergreen Shipping responded that the global container ship market has changed greatly, and it is too early to talk about the year-end bonus.
