This year's event is the 60th. The independent expert jury is composed of nearly fifty industry elites from around the world. The scale is larger than last year. It reviews each participating R&D project and selects the winner. Despite fierce competition and high review thresholds, HKPC ranks alongside other top world-class award-winning R&D institutions, including top US laboratories such as MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, as well as aviation and space research authorities --NASA Glenn Research Center.
HKPC's two award-winning and three shortlisted R&D projects each have different applications and importance. One of the winning projects is dedicated to using drones and vehicle-mounted artificial intelligence technology for real-time tunnel defect detection; the other aims to revolutionize food sterilization procedures.
The other three shortlisted projects are respectively optimizing production line performance through Yuanverse; breaking through the boundaries of the current clothing manufacturing industry through automatic side seam pressing technology; and assisting various industries to visualize real-time production machine data. HKPC will continue to cooperate with different industry partners and customers to jointly unleash the potential of scientific research and promote the transformation of results.
