Concordia University, referred to as Concordia or Concordia, is a well-known comprehensive public university located in Canada's second largest city Montreal . It was founded in 1974 and was formed by the merger of two schools with more than a century of history, Loyoal College and Sir George Williams University. Concordia University has approximately 46,000 enrolled students from more than 130 countries around the world. Concordia University has four colleges: Business School, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Arts, and School of Engineering and Computer Science. Its popular departments include finance, politics, psychology, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science. The school's four departments offer more than 300 majors and 29 research centers for undergraduate and graduate students. Concordia University's John Molson School of Business is generally recognized as a world-class business school. It is the first business school in Canada to be certified by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) (less than 5% of business schools in the world have received this certification).
