In the wave of global technological competition, programming education has become an important way for countries around the world to improve the quality of their citizens and cultivate scientific and technological talents. In recent years, countries around the world have paid more and more attention to the implementation of artificial intelligence education in the basic education stage. Overseas, the American Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence launched the U.S. K-12 artificial intelligence education action plan, the European Union launched the "1% of EU citizens master the basics of artificial intelligence " initiative, and established the "Basic Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence" online course...
is different from the elite-oriented education promoted by Western developed countries. Our country has always attached great importance to the rational allocation of educational resources, so that every child has equal access to education. Since 2017, our country has successively issued policy plans such as the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan ", "Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan ", "Compulsory Education Curriculum Plan and Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)" to guide the development of artificial intelligence education .

But it is not easy to achieve inclusive artificial intelligence education. Some areas in our country, especially remote areas, still have problems such as backward educational concepts, insufficient supporting teachers, and insufficient student participation. Cangyuan Autonomous County in Yunnan Province is a typical area of this kind.
Gong Zhengfu, the relevant person in charge of the Cangyuan Education Bureau, said when talking about the development of artificial intelligence programming education in the county: "We do not have software courses related to artificial intelligence programming, and secondly, we do not have good professional teachers. Although there are software and teachers, Cangyuan schools have no relevant experience in teaching artificial intelligence programming before. We need social forces with advantages in this area to participate to make up for our shortcomings in this area."
Tencent is one of the important social forces. Since 2019, Tencent has collaborated with the Cangyuan Education Department to bring the self-developed programming teaching platform "Tencent Kouding" to 231 primary and secondary school campuses in Cangyuan through the "Youth Artificial Intelligence Dream Chasing Camp" charity event, filling the gap in Cangyuan's software learning products.
In response to the shortage of professional computer programming teacher reserves in Cangyuan, Tencent Kuoding on the one hand helps local teachers establish and improve their programming teaching capabilities through continuous online and offline teacher training courses; on the other hand, it connects with local information technology curriculum standards and customizes hundreds of programming learning courses and a large number of teaching plans and syllabuses to help schools lower the threshold for starting courses and carry out programming teaching more smoothly.
At the same time, in order to make artificial intelligence programming learning not limited to the cultivation of single skills, it can truly improve rural children's thinking, creativity, and logical abilities, and better establish the necessary literacy abilities to face the digital information age. Tencent Qiaoding also cooperated with Beijing Normal University Future Education Advanced Innovation Center to focus on artificial intelligence knowledge system and project practice, and set up special training courses for "artificial intelligence teachers" to help teachers in remote areas establish scientific and standardized teaching concepts and better guide children to benefit from artificial intelligence programming learning.
Over the past four years, with the joint efforts of the local education department and Tencent Qidian, Cangyuan has not only achieved "overtaking in a corner" in the province's artificial intelligence education, but also allowed these rural children to receive unprecedented awards and honors. In this year's National Primary and Secondary School Information Technology Innovation and Practice Competition (NOC), World Robot Competition and other national competitions, children from Cangyuan won 6 national awards and 43 provincial awards.

In addition to Cangyuan, the public welfare model of Tencent Youth Artificial Intelligence Dream Camp is also being replicated across the country. It has now entered 12,000 schools in nearly 300 regions across the country, allowing more than 80,000 students, including remote areas, to enlighten and learn artificial intelligence programming knowledge and improve their information and technology literacy.
As Gong Zhengfu said, the cooperation between Cangyuan and Tencent is not only a useful measure to achieve educational equity in the county, but also a reference model for promoting the popularization of informatization and programming education in remote areas, which can greatly narrow the gap in artificial intelligence education between remote areas and developed areas.
hopes that Tencent can enter more regions in the future and bring "the first lesson of programming" to local children, helping them cultivate innovative thinking, stimulate learning ability and interest, and also hopes that more companies with a sense of social responsibility will join the process of promoting inclusive artificial intelligence education and cultivate more technological innovation talents who contribute to society.
