Parents' Day (May 8)

Buddha’s Birthday (the eighth day of April in the lunar calendar)
Buddha’s Birthday is the day to commemorate the birth of Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, which is the eighth day of April in the lunar calendar every year. It is also called the Buddha’s Birthday. It is derived from a religious requirement to seek blessings and eliminate sin.
Trinity Independence Day (March 1st)
March 1st is South Korea’s Independence Day. The nationwide uprising that broke out on March 1, 1919 was the Korean people's roar for national survival in the face of intolerable aggression, oppression, and plunder by the Japanese colonialists. Every year on March 1, South Korea holds various types of commemorative activities, and some people also hold anti-Japanese demonstrations.
