In order to implement the new English curriculum standards, comprehensively improve the education and teaching level of primary school English classrooms in the district, strengthen the construction of primary school English teacher team, and guide teachers to actively participate in the activities of learning and exploring the new curriculum standards, from October 12 to 13, the Yichun Yuanzhou District Primary School English Quality Class Competition was successfully held in Yichun No. 8 Primary School . 17 English teachers from all over the district participated in the classroom competition.
Yuanzhou District Education and Sports Bureau Deputy Director Peng Shun, and Lan Zhixiong, Director of the Education and Research Department of the District Education and Sports Bureau, attended the competition. Su Lei, principal of Yichun No. 8 Primary School, and Chen Yanqiong, deputy secretary, accompanied the contestants throughout the whole process to cheer for the contestants. In this competition, the teachers based on the new English curriculum standards. During the teaching process, they used open questions at different levels to stimulate students' initiative in exploring texts, cultivate students' good thinking quality, cultural awareness and emotional value, so that while experiencing foreign cultures, they also promote Chinese culture, enhance national pride, and implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people. After the
competition, Teacher Chen You made accurate comments on the competition based on the opinions and suggestions of several other teachers from the judges group. Through the fierce competition, a total of 7 first prizes and 10 second prizes were selected.
