On the afternoon of September 29, the conference room 1007 of Kuanye Building, East Campus of our school held a 2022 Autumn Semester Science and Technology Work Conference.

He Dajiang believes that scientific and technological capabilities and levels are the main manifestations of the core competitiveness of colleges and universities, and are the core elements that distinguish university education, vocational education and basic education; the direction of scientific and technological work should resonate with the national and regional economic and social development, focusing on the major concerns and needs of regional economic and social development; scientific research is a systematic work that requires overall planning and continuous promotion, especially at the moment, a solid foundation of scientific research must be laid; organized scientific research is the shortcut and reliance for our school to achieve breakthroughs in scientific research work.
He Dajiang requires that the academic committee should systematically plan development plans and take the lead in organizing the establishment of high-end comprehensive think tanks of the school; Science and Technology and Local Service Offices should strengthen supply-side reforms and promote the implementation and rooting of regional economic and social development; scientific research platforms should shoulder the great task of revitalizing school science and technology work, focus on the direction, and take proactive actions; all colleges and scientific research platforms must take serving regional economic and social development as the main battlefield of scientific research; strengthen cooperation with Huaihua local governments, and promote more projects and regional fund projects to settle in Huaihua College; strengthen research and publicity on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, and form a propaganda team for the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, and go deep into the municipal, county (district) organs and units of Huaihua College to demonstrate the influence and responsibility of Huaihua College.
Dong Zhengyu summarized his speech. He first analyzed the current development position of the school from the internal and external development environment to the participants. Regarding the school's scientific and technological work, he emphasized that in the construction of disciplines, should attach great importance to it, make plans early, and actively strive for the school's due "share" in the new round of discipline construction. At the same time, it is necessary to start a new round of application for disciplines at the school level and steadily promote the high-quality development of the school. In the application of national projects, should clarify the goals, deploy and arrange early, give full play to the baton of scientific research and assessment, mobilize school teachers and staff to participate in project application, and at the same time actively organize relevant academic exchange activities, invite relevant experts and scholars to guide the work, and answer questions for school teachers, so as to continuously improve the school's core competitiveness. In terms of scientific research and academic investment, schools attach great importance to scientific research and have issued relevant reward system documents to encourage teachers to do more academic and scientific research. At the same time, relevant departments are also seeking resources and leaving no effort to "escort" teachers in project application. In order to effectively carry out the school’s evaluation of national scholarships, adhere to the principles of fairness, justice, openness and selection of the best, and encourage students who are diligent in studying, actively and proactive, and have comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, our school held the 2021-2022 National Scholarship Review Conference in the 1007 conference room of Kuanye Building on the morning of October 6.
