This is a newly completed landmark building on the campus after the Huxi Campus Sports Center.

It is reported that the information technology research building is located in the eastern front area of Chongqing University Huxi Campus, on the north side of the central axis of the campus. The total construction area of the project is 56,623 square meters, integrating office, teaching and scientific research. In the future, it will become a teaching, scientific research and experimental room for various colleges of Chongqing University's Department of Information, providing each college with a good scientific research and experimental environment and enhancing in-depth exchanges and integration of various IT colleges.
It is understood that the project was designed by Wang Qi, associate professor of , School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University. "In order to reflect the characteristics of 'information', the design introduced the concept of 'information interaction' and established connections between internal and external spaces through various means."
