I just transferred to Shaping Middle School this semester to work with Teacher Gong Bin. He is the head teacher and teaches English in two classes.
At the beginning of the school year, the school planned to push some teachers' styles through the official account before Teachers' Day. Because Teacher Gong is an outstanding class teacher commended by Sanjiang New District this year, among our articles, I would like to ask him to write some information, provide a few photos, take some videos, etc. But he told the teacher who asked the article that it was troublesome to make up the materials, so he would rather forget it and there was no need to push them.
Is he really a person who is afraid of trouble? I have known him for only a few days, so I can only get to know him slowly.
My contact with Teacher Gong only lasted about ten days. He doesn’t talk much, and he gives people the feeling of being a gentle and humble gentleman. I almost always meet him in get out of class and communicate with students after class. My first Chinese homework student misplaced it on Teacher Gong’s desk. Not only did he take the time to read it, he also gave the parents detailed feedback on the homework situation.
In the parent group, Teacher Gong said more, a large section of group announcements guided students how to learn to go to middle school, how to develop good habits, how parents should educate their children, students' homework, performance, etc. Everything is detailed, and it is listed one by one and informed in pieces, without any trouble.
During the student's home study, he pushed learning resources, feedbacked online classes, urged children to do housework, exercise at home, and told parents to pay attention to their children's mental health and communicate with their children... He manages broadly, carefully, and attentively.
The new crown epidemic has broken out, and the university town urgently needs volunteers to participate in the fight against the epidemic. As soon as the school issued an initiative, the teachers responded positively, and Teacher Gong Bin also took the initiative to sign up. However, the school considered that he was the head teacher and the English teacher of two classes, and that online teaching and students’ management work during home study could not be left behind, so he advised him to stay on the front line of teaching. However, in addition to teaching, during the holiday, he still took the time to volunteer in the community, shining and heating as much as he could.
th morning, before dawn, Teacher Gong went to the community to participate in volunteer services, assisted medical staff in collecting nucleic acids, and helped the community do some temporary work, and did it all day. He also took the initiative to join the community's volunteer group and would participate in the service as soon as he had time. The colleagues knew about it and praised him in the group, but he said, "I just did what a citizen should do. The comrades who went to the university town worked much harder than me. They are role models for Shaping Middle School!"
Because I was in class with Teacher Gong, I knew the dynamics of the class group very well. Every word, little by little, is Teacher Gong's ultimate sentiment for education. I understand now that he is not afraid of trouble. He just wants to spend his time on work, on students and parents, on things he finds meaningful, and is unwilling to spend time promoting himself. He is such a steady, down-to-earth, enthusiastic and low-key person.
This epidemic not only tests our ability to deal with sudden crises, but also tests the team's collaboration ability and individual dedication and responsibility. Shaping Middle School is a united and upward group. There are also a large number of people like Mr. Gong Bin in the school. They are both teaching experts and enthusiastic experts.
