Global Higher Education Research Institute QS Quacquarelli Symonds released the 10th edition of QS Best Study Abroad Cities Ranking on June 29. This edition of the ranking is based on the opinions of 98,426 respondents. The six indicator groups on which the rankings are based are:
University Rankings
Does the city have a range of highly ranked universities?
Desirability
Is the city a desirable place to live? Do prospective students unanimously express a desire to study here?
Affordability
Can students afford consumption in this city? This indicator group covers a range of cost-of-living indicators, including average tuition fees, iPad Index and Big Mac Index .
Employer Events
Do employers place a high value on the city’s universities? Are there economic opportunities for graduates? The indicator group received more than 99,000 responses to the QS employer survey and also takes into account a city's youth employment levels.
Student composition
Is the city a diverse and inclusive place to live? Does it have a large student population?
Student Perspectives
Would students who studied in this city recommend it to their peers? This indicator group recognizes the importance of independent peer perspectives in delivering high-quality advice.
