In 1997, Zhejiang University’s Centennial Anniversary was arranged in April, and April 1 was regarded as the anniversary of Zhejiang University.
Juhua Group Corporation has more than 2,000 college students graduated from various universities across the country, Zhejiang University (including Zhejiang Agricultural University, Zhejiang Medical University and Hangzhou University) has nearly 500 alumni, Zhejiang University and Juhua Group has very close connections in terms of scientific research, student internships and academic exchanges.
In February 1997, Yang Dashou, director of the Zhejiang University Alumni Liaison Office and executive deputy secretary-general of the Alumni Association, contacted Juhua Group Corporation many times, hoping that the Juhua Group Corporation would establish Zhejiang University Alumni Association.
On February 11, the company's chief engineer Li Guoying presided over the preparatory meeting for the establishment of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association in the company's office of the Association for Science and Technology. Wang Xiaowen is the daughter of Mr. Wang Guosong of Zhejiang University. Mr. Wang Guosong graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang Public Industrial College (the predecessor of Zhejiang University) and stayed on as a teaching assistant. In 1930, he went to the United States to study at Cornell University at public expense. In 1931, he obtained a master's degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in philosophy in 1933. After returning to China, he served successively as associate professor, professor, dean of electrical engineering department and dean of engineering school of National Zhejiang University, and served as vice president and acting president of Zhejiang University from 1950 to 1957.

The establishment of a mass organization involves many affairs. The most important thing is to draft the charter of the alumni association. Taking advantage of the advantages in the company, I first mobilize the alumni of each unit to complete the membership registration. The most important thing is to raise funds for the activity. These tasks are not easy to do, time-consuming and laborious. Fortunately, many alumni are leaders of the unit. I have received their strong support for my work, and the work has been carried out relatively smoothly.
The second preparatory meeting of the alumni association was held on February 21. I reported the draft of the alumni association’s constitution, discussed with the alumni, and proposed amendments. Dean He Sunyin introduced the composition of the board of directors and the president, vice president and The selection of the secretary-general was fully discussed. I reported on the date of the establishment of the Juhua Zhejiang University Alumni Association, the agenda of the establishment meeting, fundraising and expenditures.
At 3 pm on March 5, 1997, the "Juhua Group Company Zhejiang University Alumni Association" meeting was established in the meeting room on the second floor of the Quhua Hotel. 180 alumni attended the meeting. The congratulatory letter from the Zhejiang University Alumni Association was announced at the meeting. The constitution of Zhejiang University Alumni Association of Juhua Group Company and the 25-member alumni association council have been passed. Shen Xiaxuan is the honorary chairman, the company’s deputy chief engineer and dean of the planning and design institute He Sunyin is the chairman, Tang Zhoushan, Huang Huazhang and Qin Xueli Served as the vice chairman, and Qin Xueli concurrently served as the secretary-general. In order to prepare for the 100th Anniversary of Zhejiang University, Shen Naizhang, Deputy Director of the Mobility Department of the company, and I went to the company’s thermal power plants, electrochemical plants, building materials factories, public companies and other units Implement donations for the school celebration,The thermal power plant , the electrochemical plant and the building material factory sponsored a total of 14,000 yuan, and the public company sponsored the alumni association activities with a total of 3,000 yuan. I am responsible for the implementation of the 20 people and vehicles going to Hangzhou to participate in the celebration, arranging accommodation in Hangzhou, and registering the number of centennial celebration souvenirs and other specific tasks.
At 12:00 noon on April 1, 20 alumni who went to Hangzhou to participate in the school celebration took a trolley and a van from Quzhou to Hangzhou, and stayed at the Juhua Group Office Guest House in Xiongzhen Building, Hangzhou at night.
There are many activities for Zhejiang University’s Centennial Anniversary. From March 29 to April 1, the opening ceremonies of "Qingshi Road", Xia Gongting, Fei Gongting, Qiushi Ying, and Qiushi Monument were successively held.
On April 2nd, I, Sunyin He and Naizhang Shen, went to the Zhejiang University Alumni Office to report to the Zhejiang University Alumni Association to visit Secretary-General Yang Dashou, and reported that the Juhua Group Alumni Association donated 14,000 yuan for the anniversary and Wang Fukuan at Zhejiang University Accompanied by the professor, he went to the Finance Office of Zhejiang University to hand in the donation. And took back the scheduled centenary anniversary souvenirs. The variety of souvenirs is very rich, including gold, silver and bronze medals, men's and ladies' watches, and souvenir books.
At 9 am on April 3, the 100th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony of Zhejiang University was held (photo 2). The main venue is located in the large playground of Yuquan campus, and several branch venues are set up in Shaw Stadium, Science Museum and other places. Nearly 40,000 guests and alumni attended the conference. Everyone entered the venue one after another according to the arrangement of the preparatory committee. I was fortunate to be seated in the main venue. Li Lanqing, then member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended and delivered congratulatory speeches in person, as well as education minister Chen Zhili, Zhejiang Provincial Party Secretary Li Zemin, domestic Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, etc. and many universities from the United States and Germany Leaders come to the meeting,The alumni are very excited.

During the 100th anniversary of Zhejiang University, 13 of our 10 students from Zhejiang and 3 from Jiangsu also gathered for the first time after the 30th anniversary of graduation in Hangzhou (Photo 4).

New Zhejiang University is formed by the merger of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University. New Zhejiang University is a university directly under the Ministry of Education, which is jointly managed by the Ministry of Education and Zhejiang Province. The New Zhejiang University has all disciplines including philosophy, literature, history, education, science, economics, law, management, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. It is a comprehensive university with the most complete disciplines in my country.

Our Zhejiang University Alumni Association of Juhua Group Company re-logged in alumni and recruited a total of 460 alumni from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University. He took advantage of the meeting in Tianjin and went to Beijing Palace Museum to find it. Based on the memorial to the emperor by Liao Shoufeng, governor of Zhejiang province, and the "Zhuban" of Emperor Guangxu, found that the predecessor of Zhejiang University, "Qushi Academy", first opened on April 20, 23rd of Guangxu, Qing Dynasty (May 21, 1897) day). This is the only school-running document approved by the emperor for 4 colleges and universities founded by Chinese people. Accordingly, on August 25, 2003, the Zhejiang University Alumni Association issued an announcement that Zhejiang University decided to change the anniversary to May 21 every year.
In October 2001, I finished my job at the Zhejiang University Alumni Association of Juhua Group Company, and moved calmly to a new working environment and position.
