RTX 4090 parameters and cooling

We used FurMark roasting software to conduct a stress test on the RTX 4090 for about 15 minutes. This time, the RTX 4090 heat dissipation surprised the author. During the roasting machine , the temperature throughout the whole process was maintained at around 76℃. In terms of stability, there is no frequency drop in the oven for a long time. The frequency is always maintained at around 2655MHz, while the power consumption is maintained at around 450W. During the roasting process, we also used AIDA64 to perform a CPU roasting machine. The test showed that the total power consumption was about 750W. Although the 850W power supply can also be used normally, it prevents the instantaneous voltage from being too high, and the 1000W power supply is more reliable.

In terms of configuration, in order to fully utilize the performance of RTX4090, our test platform adopts flagship products. In addition, we also used RTX3080Ti, RTX3090, and RTX 3090Ti and RTX4090 for a comprehensive comparison.
In the DMark test, the RTX 4090 score showed a visible improvement, and the Port Royal score was 24553, 70% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti. The TS kits are 30016 and 19205, respectively, which is 39%-55% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti. The FS package is 48% to 77% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti. Even the previous generation of the RTX 3090 Ti can only lower its head in front of the RTX 4090.
NVIDIA hidden "plug-in"
DLSS 3 technology is the "killer weapon" of the RTX 40 series this time. Unlike DLSS 2, DLSS 2 uses low-resolution pictures to render high-resolution pictures through AI. It can be understood that after we turn on DLSS at 4K resolution, we use 1080P to play games, so the game frame rate has been improved.

Of course, some theories need to be proved through practice whether it really has such a "god". We conduct gaming at 4K resolution and benchmark tests at 3DMark DLSS 4K resolution to see the results.
At 4K resolution, we can see through the performance mode test of DLSS 2 that the overall gap between RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti is not big. In RTX 4090, the frame rate has reached 57 without DLSS being turned on, and after DLSS being turned on, the frame rate soared to 129, which doubled, which is much higher than the frame rate of the RTX 3090 Ti.
When we tested DLSS 3 at 4K resolution, the RTX 4090 frame rate increased again, directly rising to 184FPS. It is 42% higher than DLSS 2.
has excellent results at 4K resolution, while the positioning of RTX 4090 is not in 4K but has crossed to 8K. We tested DLSS again at K resolution , although the frame rate was only 12.92 when DLSS was turned off. However, with the opening of DLSS 3, the frame rate reaches 92.36, which is 614% higher than when DLSS is turned off. This is such a terrifying improvement.But it can also be seen from this that with the innovation of technology, the higher the resolution of DLSS, the greater the improvement effect. In the future, it is not a dream for us to experience high-brush games at 8K resolution.
We can see in the chart that in "F1 22", when DLSS is not enabled, the game frame rate is 92 frames. In DLSS quality mode, the frame rate of DLSS 2 is 137, which is 48%, while the frame rate of DLSS 3 is 176, which is 91%. But under DLSS ultra-high performance, the frame rate of DLSS 2 is 173 and the frame rate of DLSS 3 is 227. The frame rate of DLSS 2 has almost doubled compared to the unopened DLSS, while the frame rate of DLSS 3 is 140% higher than the unopened DLSS .
In the test of " Against the Cold ", even the powerful RTX 4090 can only run to 16 frames, and even the smoothness does not meet the standard. In DLSS quality mode, the DLSS 2 frame rate reaches 34 frames. Although it can be played, it is still a bit worse than the flow. DLSS 3 ran to 58 frames, which was very close to the smooth 60 frames. In DLSS performance mode, although DLSS 2 achieves a 200% frame rate increase compared to when DLSS is turned off, the 52 screen is still quite stuttering for most players. DLSS 3 has been improved by 4 times in performance mode to 83 frames, and you can feel the smoothness and smoothness under the 120Hz high refresh screen.
In the frame rate test of "Plague Legend: Requiem", DLSS 3 still has a huge frame rate increase compared to DLSS 2. In the picture quality mode, the frame rate of DLSS 3 has doubled. We compare three pictures with the same position and different DLSS modes through NVIDIA's ICAT tool.
