Why are mobile phone manufacturers abandoning side fingerprint recognition now? I feel that this solution is very reasonable, much more reliable than under-screen fingerprints. Why do domestic manufacturers not adopt this solution? Is it not advanced enough? The Sony flagship still adopts the side solution.
In fact, whether it is a side fingerprint or a back fingerprint, it is very convenient to unlock the fingerprint of the phone holding feeling, and it is also easy to perform series of operations such as unlocking and fingerprint recognition payment! Compared with the front-mounted press button unlocking or the under-screen fingerprint unlocking, it is more convenient to operate!
There is no longer a way to unlock the back because it needs to give way to many functions on the back, such as the integrated body design, such as wireless charging function, such as a larger camera module, which occupy a lot of space. If the fingerprint unlocking is placed on the back, it will naturally be inconsistent!
. For side fingerprint unlocking, many mobile phones with a thousand yuan and phones with around 2,000 yuan still have such solutions. Because side fingerprint unlocking, some are concave, so the aesthetics of integrated design are destroyed. Therefore, some mobile phone manufacturers ( Xiaomi ) have made side fingerprints on the raised buttons, which looks very strong in integration!
But we found that on some high-end phones, whether it is Android phones or Hongmeng phone series, they use under-screen fingerprint unlocking! why is that? I think there must be some integrated body requirements, because high-end mobile phones need greater beauty! Secondly, under-screen fingerprint unlocking can make more articles on the screen. For example, some mobile phone manufacturers have also launched ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking (vivo and Meizu ), which can also add quick payment in fingerprint unlocking and more fingerprint functions!
I think designing under the screen is actually more valuable, that is, every step of operation is easy to see, and the under-screen fingerprint can also be developed for more needs. With the screen, there are more schematic effects, which can make it easier for users to recognize and identify where to use fingerprint recognition. On the side, sometimes it takes a long time to experience it. This is also a very good way to quickly establish a sense of familiarity!
However, compared to the things done by domestic mobile phones, I think they are all pretty good, not like Apple . In the early years, there was fingerprint recognition before the full screen. Today's SE series models also have fingerprint recognition, but I don't want all the phones on the back, side fingerprints, or under-screen fingerprints, so I cut them off directly. Compared to Apple, I think it's okay to do under-screen fingerprints and can accept it!
