Changan Automobile said that after the project is completed in 2024, it is expected to form a comprehensive production capacity of 280,000 new energy vehicles per year. Changan Automobile's existing Yubei plant will be closed in due course, and its designed annual production capacity of 280,000 passenger cars will be cancelled. Investment in this project will not lead to changes in the company's overall production capacity.

Public information shows that the Yubei plant is one of Changan Automobile’s earlier established plants, with an annual designed production capacity of 280,000 vehicles. It mainly produces Eado series, CS35 and other models. Official data shows that in June this year, the sales volume of the Eado series was approximately 15,200 units, a month-on-month increase of 24.4%.
Previously, Changan Automobile has launched mostly " oil-to-electric " products in the field of new energy vehicles. With the launch of new pure electric models such as Deep Blue SL03, Lumin, and Avita 11, as well as the hybrid equipped with Blue Whale power, As the number of models increases, the transformation and upgrading of production lines is also imminent.
