"Master, I have been reading the Ksitigarbha Sutra for a month, but I don't know what it means?" One day more than ten years ago, I devoutly asked a monk my questions in a temple in Beijing.

The monk had no expression on his face, and Feng Qingyun replied to me indifferently: " you don't need to understand, just read it, and one day you will understand." I said "Oh" softly in confusion, just thinking it was the perfunctory treatment of me by the monk.

A year later, I have become familiar with the Ksitigarbha Sutra, and I have reached the point where "the scriptures are recited and the heart floats away, and the scriptures will not be read incorrectly." I have a certain understanding of this Ksitigarbha Sutra that talks about filial piety. This may be "read the book a hundred times, and its meaning will be seen by itself" .

I remembered the ancient poems I recited when I was in school. At that time, I could easily understand the artistic conception of ancient poems without the world. I had no other thoughts except to read them carefully and memorize them well to deal with the exam.

just stayed until I grew up, and when the poems I blurted out on different occasions became the object of appreciation for others. I realized that before I knew it, those words and sentences that were memorable had been deeply embedded in my heart and used freely, and the meaning was clear in my heart.

I seemed to suddenly understand the reason why Huineng became enlightened after hearing the sentence " should have no dwelling on anything and have no place to give birth to his mind ".

From the most basic Ksitigarbha Sutra, I started my interest in reading and reciting Buddhist scriptures. Next, I read and recited "Heart Sutra", " Diamond Sutra ", " Amitabha Sutra ", " Universal Door Chapter " and other scriptures.

No matter which scripture it is, I read it first first, and I don’t have to pay attention to its meaning, because I know that the profound meaning of the scripture was not mined by me. I just recite it until I get it right, and then I can easily control it and apply it to my life.

discovers its correspondence with the current environment in the simplest daily life, and understand its profound meaning from flexible use, so that it can be considered a true understanding and enjoyment!

Remember Chen Kaige before a movie was released, a reporter asked him if the box office was not ideal, would he be lost? Chen Kaige used a sentence from the Heart Sutra to cleverly answer the reporter's question. He said: The heart is free from worries, so there is no terror.

The sentence is also deeply imprinted in my heart. Whenever I am anxious about something, I will recite this sentence silently and tell that the reason I am so anxious and afraid is entirely because I am concerned about it. Too much concern is also an obstacle, which makes me panic.

When we encounter betrayal by our lovers, the rebellion of relatives and friends, we think of the vows and the deep love and friendship in the past, but to this day, we can only sigh at the impermanence of human feelings, and our hearts are filled with hatred and anger.

If you can think of this sentence in the Diamond Sutra at this time: "The past heart cannot be obtained, the present heart cannot be obtained, the future heart cannot be obtained" . The "heart" is not constant. It is changing every second. The thoughts of the previous second change in the next second. The human heart is so repetitive and fickle, why should we be angry about this and entangled in it and make ourselves suffer?

Many people like to go to temples to burn incense and worship Buddha, and the things they ask for are also varied. I once saw a girl holding paper full of wishes in her hand and praying devoutly: "Please pray the Bodhisattva to bless her to make a fortune..." I couldn't help but laugh. So many people pray and worship in the temple. Are they really because of their faith or to improve their personal cultivation?

There is an old saying: There are many practitioners of Taoism, and few people who have attained Taoism . When I read " The Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch ", I read this sentence: " is fascinating to cultivate blessings but not Taoism. It only says that cultivating blessings is the Tao. Giving and offering blessings is boundless, and the three evil roots in my heart are created" .

I understand that most people who ask for blessings for themselves are just to seek blessings, but do not understand their purpose and profound meaning. I am the same.

"Don't forget the original intention, you will get the end" is the most familiar to everyone. Many people say that it comes from the "Avatamsaka Sutra".

But there are no these eight words in the Huayan Sutra. They are summarized based on some scriptures. This is also the essence we extract from Buddhist scriptures, and we apply it appropriately in our lives.

" is not shocked, not scared, not afraid". These six words come from the Diamond Sutra .

Jiang Xun Teacher said that he did not feel smooth when he first read the Diamond Sutra. When he read these six words one day, he was shocked and felt that the power of these six words was too great. Whenever he encountered adversity in life, he would silently recite " is not shocked, not scared, not afraid." is these six words that accompany him to face the difficulties in life calmly.

, and Mr. Jiang Xun has also experienced from reading it well to being able to recite it completely, and applying it skillfully to life, helping us understand the true nature of life and face good and bad situations calmly.
