The ten thousand-character backlit gilt bronze seated statue of the Great Sun Tathagata was unearthed in Dali in the Song Dynasty Hongsheng Temple Pagoda, with a height of 10.9 cm and a base diameter of 6.14 cm, is made of gilt copper. The statue has unique image, coordinated proportions, smooth lines and exquisite casting technology. It is one of the treasures of the Dali Prefecture Museum.

This image of the Great Sun Tathagata has its head slightly lowered, its bun is low and gentle, its hair is bound in water waves, and its hairline is clear. She has a handsome face, plump and plump face, crescent-shaped eyebrows, and white hair between her eyebrows. The eyes are slightly closed, the ears are close to each other, and the expression is calm and peaceful. The shoulders are broad and the body is strong and thick. Wearing a shoulder-length coat, the undulating pleats of the coat are very textured and appear elegant and smooth. Sitting in lotus position , sitting on a circular lotus platform with two layers of lotus petals, with both hands in the fist seal of wisdom, with the word "Wan" backlit behind her. The lotus petals on the lotus platform under the body are wide and plump, and the interior of the lotus platform is empty. There are two lines of regular script in the cavity. The characters are small and cannot be read, and part of the gilt has fallen off.
