Guanyin Temple, also known as Wanshou Guanyin Temple, is located near the top of Qingxiu Mountain. Speaking of the history of Guanyin Temple, it can be traced back to the Northern Song Dynasty period 980 years ago. According to records, because Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared in Qingxiu Mountain many times, monks built huts on the mountain to practice practice, and later expanded them into Miaochao Temple, Baiyun Jingshe, and Wanshou Temple. For more than a thousand years, the temple has experienced several changes and vicissitudes. It was gradually abandoned due to wars in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.

In 1986, local Buddhist believers spontaneously built the Sanbao Hall at the former site of Wanshou Temple. In 2000, after the completion of Sanbaotang, it was handed over to the monks and named Guanyin Temple. The newly built Guanyin Temple imitates the architectural style of the Tang and Song Dynasties. The temple's temples are large in scale, exquisite in construction technology, and the layout is highly similar to the ancient palace. It can be called a "small folk Forbidden City" and a "Chinese architectural treasure."

Guanyin Temple is currently the only male temple in Nanning. However, before the temple was rebuilt, it had a north-south layout and faced the direction of Yongning. The lower level of the Main Hall is the lecture hall, which houses the world's largest jade reclining Buddha presented by the royal family of Myanmar. According to reports, the reclining Buddha is about 6.8 meters long and 2 meters high. It is carved from a single piece of natural Burmese jade and weighs about 36,800 kilograms. In addition, there is also a 3.2-meter-high seated sandalwood Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Bodhisattva statue enshrined in the Prajna Hall.

For a long time, Guanyin Temple has been a holy place for prayers passed down by Nanning people orally, and even many tourists from other places come here.
