Unfortunately, they are huge in size and leave very little space for the battery. Now, Xiaomi camera patents confirm the existence of a larger single-camera sensor with variable focal length. The picture shared by the digital chat station shows the patent of a smartphone with a rear camera of Xiaomi for camera module zoom:

So if Xiaomi uses a good sensor, this could be a game change. Xiaomi plans to implement this "SLR" camera system is quite exciting. However, Xiaomi is not the first OEM company to come up with this idea.
Sony Xperia 1 IV has a real optical zoom camera. In addition, the phone's camera system also has a hidden variable focal length. Sony offers a better solution that doesn't have much stand out.
It is not clear whether Xiaomi will make a smartphone similar to the patent-pending "SLR" photo imaging. Because a patent cannot guarantee that Xiaomi's SLR camera zoom system can be released, but we look forward to Xiaomi's implementation as soon as possible.
