First, let’s take a look at the female tractor driver on the third set of RMB 1-yuan banknotes. Her prototype is Liang Jun, who came from the former Harbin Agricultural Machinery Bureau and was awarded the title of one of the first batch of national labor models. The Dongfanghong-54 tractor she drives was also a widely used model back then. Changchun Tractor Factory was the largest wheeled tractor production base in the country at that time. It also produced Dongfanghong series tractors, which were sold well all over the country.
