recently, bertil butturini, the italian 3d artist behind the ip art toy "bertilo," visited dongguan for the first time to attend the 15th china international animation copyright fair (actif). this also marks the first time "bertilo" has returned to its "birthplace" dongguan.
with its adorable pink appearance, "bertilo" was jointly created by butturini and his wife, chinese illustratorli jing. when designing the physical art toy, they drew significant inspiration from "nailoong," an animation ip from shenzhen city, guangdong. "i really like nailoong's rounded shapes and line design, which gives me a sense of ease and joy," said butturini. he added that the image design of nailoong aligns perfectly with bertilo's design philosophy—let go of anxiety, embrace yourself, and enjoy every lighthearted and lovely moment.
dongguan is considered bertilo's birthplace because most of its physical products are manufactured in local factories. "we chose dongguan because the factories here can perfectly bring our designs to life," butturini explained.
in 2022, "bertilo" held its first exhibition in shenzhen, and in 2024, its outdoor inflatable installation "bertilo drifts in barra" was displayed in macao. speaking about the art toy culture of guangdong–hong kong–macao greater bay area(gba), butturini remarked, "with great design, an open mindset, and the manufacturing edge of the gba, trendy ips can definitely succeed here."

義大利潮玩ip「粉小胖」有大灣區血統
近日，「粉小胖bertilo」的ip設計師、義大利三維藝術家博蒂爾（bertil butturini）首次來到東莞參加第十五屆中國國際動漫博覽會。這也是「粉小胖bertilo」首次來到它的「出生地」東莞。
有著粉色可愛外表的「粉小胖bertilo」由博蒂爾和他的妻子——中國插畫師李婧聯合創作。在設計實體潮玩時，廣東深圳的動漫ip「奶龍」成為了他們重要的靈感源泉。「我特別喜歡奶龍圓潤的形狀和線條設計，它帶給我一種輕鬆、愉悅的感覺。」博蒂爾表示，奶龍的形象設計與粉小胖的創作理念不謀而合：放下焦慮，接納自我，享受每一個輕鬆又可愛的瞬間。
之所以說東莞是「粉小胖」的出生地，則是因為「粉小胖」實體產品大部分是在東莞的工廠生產。「我們選擇東莞，是因為這裡的工廠能精準呈現我們的設計需求。」
2022年，「粉小胖」的中國首展落地深圳；2024年，戶外水上充氣裝置《粉小胖游塘》在澳門展出。在談到粵港澳大灣區的潮玩文化時，博蒂爾深有感觸：「只要有好設計、開放的心態，加上『灣區造』的優勢，潮流ip完全可以在這裡獲得成功。」
