On the afternoon of December 20, 2022, the smart medical sub-forum of the 2022 China Unicom Partner Conference was held online. With the theme of "new infrastructure for digital health, creating and enjoying a new future of health", the forum centered on the three major chapters of "policy guidance, digital innovation, and technology empowerment" to comprehensively interpret the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Health Informatization Plan, interpret and practice China Unicom's new smart medical strategy, discuss the deep integration and development of new technologies and digital health, and share the innovative results of new technologies such as 5G technology, Internet+, big data, artificial intelligence, etc. in the field of digital health. Relevant leaders from provincial and municipal health commissions across the country, leaders and experts from tertiary hospitals across the country, and industry colleagues discussed in depth online new opportunities for technology-enabled medical care and discussed new ideas for smart medical care.
Liang Baojun, deputy general manager of China Unicom, attended the forum and delivered a speech titled "Strengthening the Main Channel of Digital Economy and Creating a New Future of Digital Healthcare", emphasizing that digital transformation and development are the most important trends in today's medical and health services. China Unicom actively implements the Healthy China strategy, proactively serves the needs of economic and social development, and builds a full-scenario digital medical capability system that is “integrated with computing and network, empowered by digital intelligence, safe and trustworthy” to help improve the informatization and smart service capabilities of medical administration and medical institutions at all levels. China Unicom will use this conference as a new starting point to work with medical governments, medical institutions and partners at all levels to continue to build a solid foundation of capabilities, jointly promote industrial prosperity, and inject strong new momentum into the construction of a healthy China.
Zhang Xudong, deputy director of the Institute of Hospital Management of the National Health Commission, delivered a speech at the forum. He pointed out that under the guidance of the " digital China " and "healthy China" strategies, the time has come for hospitals to move into "high quality" through "smart upgrades".
Digitalization will provide accelerated driving force for development and transformation in the medical and health field, and release huge energy to benefit the people. We should actively explore the in-depth integration of digital technology and medical services to jointly promote high-quality development of hospitals.
Dr. Chen Xiaoyun, a researcher at the Institute of Hospital Management of the National Health Commission, gave an in-depth interpretation of the "14th Five-Year Plan" national health informatization plan, emphasizing that new medical infrastructure and medical digital intelligence will accelerate the traditional medical and health system to move towards the digital health development stage. The digital active health service system will rely on the new generation of information technology to promote the reshaping of the traditional medical security system into a value chain centered on health creation and the extension of the industrial chain .
Han Zhuochen, Vice President of China Unicom’s Government and Enterprise Customer Business Group, delivered a keynote speech on “Digital Intelligence Empowerment for a Healthy Future”. He pointed out that China Unicom Smart Healthcare will rely on the advantages of cloud network and digital transformation experience to build a "cloud network intelligence" integrated capability system with the core of "computing network integration, digital intelligence empowerment, security, trustworthiness and operational services". It will be led by the length of the network security industry chain and use big security to escort the implementation of the Healthy China strategy:
- Facing the field of smart hospitals, Based on cloud base + data middle platform + 5G application integration capabilities, it supports the intelligent construction of national medical centers, regional medical centers, and hospitals at all levels. It has served 300+ hospitals across the country using cloud and cloud services.
- Facing the field of smart medical administration, relying on the differentiated core capabilities of cloud network + big data and integrating ecological application capabilities, it promotes , three medical linkages, , regional data interconnection, and the construction of thousands of counties. Regional health interconnection has been built covering more than 2,000 medical institutions.
- Facing the field of smart public health, it continues to leverage its core capabilities in big data, Internet of Things and communication signaling to create a public health big data platform for CDC, health supervision agencies and medical institutions that combines peacetime and wartime, and helps public health/disease control informatization to upgrade to digitalization and intelligence. - Facing the field of smart medical insurance, it provides a large medical insurance supervision platform, builds a core fraudulent insurance model through data mining and modeling analysis, and enables the medical insurance supervision department to monitor frequent drug purchasers, abnormal drug purchasers and other objects.
This forum invited four industry authorities from School of Public Health of Sun Yat-sen University , Peking Union Medical College Hospital , Sun Yat-sen University Third People's Hospital, School of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science of Zhejiang University /Shaw Hospital Affiliated to School of Medicine to gather in the online forum to share innovative achievements in the fields of public health, 5G smart hospitals, 5G remote surgery, Internet + health care and other fields. From policy analysis to technical implementation, supplemented by typical application cases across the country, the experts provided new ideas for the in-depth integration and development of medical health and new technologies during the "14th Five-Year Plan".
