Honor of Kings
Look at "Honor of Kings" first. These 5 models all support up to 120fps mode, so we need to look at the three modes: 30fps, 90fps and 120fps.
is the most basic 60fps "Honor of Kings", the average frame rate of 59.86fps ~ 60.78fps The average frame rate of is very close, so the average frame rate here is not important, and the number of frame rate jitters is very few, and vivo X90 Pro+ does not even record any frame rate jitters.

Power consumption and temperature control are also relatively close. The moto X40 has the lowest power consumption, which is only about 2.2W, but the body temperature is relatively slightly higher; Xiaomi 13 Pro is also at the same high temperature, with the highest front temperature reaching 39.1℃, and the average power consumption of 2.7W is also higher than the other 4 models.
Look at the 90fps mode of "Honor of Kings". The rendering performance of Xiaomi 13 Pro is good, with an average frame rate of 93.25fps and no jitter. However, temperature control and power consumption are still the lowest among the five models - it seems that the temperature control wall of Xiaomi 13 Pro is set relatively high, and the performance scheduling strategy will give priority to the release of performance.

And in this mode, the better balance of performance release, power consumption and temperature control is moto X40, which has high frame rate, less severe jitter, low power consumption and low body temperature. The advantages of
moto X40 in "Honor of Kings" are actually reflected in the mode of up to 120fps - because 120fps high frame rate basically does not detect jitter, so in principle we do not calculate the frame rate jitter of 120fps games - moto X40 does not have the highest average frame rate, but the performance of power consumption and temperature control are above the other 4 models; while the performance scheduling of Xiaomi 13 Pro is still familiar: the frame rate is the highest, but the power consumption and heating are also the highest.
Peace Elite
Next is "Peace Elite". Among the 5 machines here, only moto X40 does not support the 90fps mode of "Peace Elite". The rest of the vivo X90 Pro+, iQOO 11, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro all support the 90fps "Peace Elite" game, but for comparison, I only watch 5 mobile phones with 60fps mode "Peace Elite".
Their average frame rates are still very close, both around 59.85fps, close to 60fps full frame; so for rendering performance we mainly have to look at frame rate jitter. The best performers here are vivo X90 Pro+ and moto X40, both of which have no serious jitter. However, this time Xiaomi Mi 13 has the best temperature control and power consumption, and the average power consumption is only 2.7W, the body temperature does not exceed 37℃, which is the lowest among the 5 models; Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro does not perform well on the front temperature control. The performance is still the same, the average frame rate of 59.93fps is the highest, but the temperature of 40.8℃ is also the highest - but all this is compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon For the 8+ platform, there has been considerable progress.
Genshin Impact
"Genshin Impact" is the touchstone of gaming performance. Among the 5 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones, only the vivo X90 Pro+ has a rendering resolution of 560p, and the other 4 models can all reach 720p.
html The average frame rate of the 35 mobile phones is very high, able to achieve more than 58.5fps. Among them, the average frame rate performance of vivo X90 Pro+ is slightly worse, with a 560p resolution of only 58.52fps and 20 serious jitters recorded, while the iQOO 11 is also produced by a blue factory. The overall performance can be said to be better, with high frame rate, less severe jitter, moderate power consumption and temperature; while Xiaomi Mi 13 has the best performance among the five models except for more serious jitters. The highest body temperature of only 42.7℃ is also quite impressive.

5 models have done a good job in power consumption control in "Genshin Impact", and the average power consumption is only 4.9W ~ 5.7W, which is better than most Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s 6W ~ 8W The performance is all good, but judging from their frame rate change charts, there are still a lot of minor jitters. The "number of serious jitters" recorded during the half-hour game process are still in double digits. There is still room for improvement. We also hope that major manufacturers will continue to optimize the performance scheduling performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform in the future.
Although the performance of these mobile phones does not fully represent the future performance of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, there will be more and more Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform models on the market in the next year, but these first batch of models will set a benchmark for more flagship machines to follow.
