On September 30, 2022, the second session of the Intelligent Agriculture Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Committee") was held online. This special committee has a total of 802 registered members (including 46 lifetime members) and 39 members. The meeting heard and voted to pass the "Work Report of the First Intelligent Agriculture Professional Committee of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society", and elected the Standing Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Second Committee. Researcher Wu Huarui , the Information Technology Research Center of Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, was elected as the chairman of the new special committee, and Professor Li Daoliang, Professor Chen Liping, the Intelligent Equipment Technology Research Center of Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Professor He Yong, , Professor Xu Tongyu, Professor , Shenyang Agricultural University, and Professor Yin Shouyi, were elected as the vice chairman of the new special committee. After nomination by the chairman of the special committee and the members voted to pass, researcher Zhu Huaji, a researcher at the Information Technology Research Center of Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, was elected as the secretary-general of the new special committee.
change session was chaired by Professor Yu Naigong, Professor of Beijing University of Technology, Secretary-General of CAAI Science Popularization Working Committee, and Member of the Organization Working Committee. The meeting was first delivered by Academician Zhao Chunjiang, the first chairman of the special committee. Academician Zhao Chunjiang gave a brief introduction from the aspects of the preparation and organization of the special committee, and welcomed the members of the new special committee.
Next, researcher Wu Huarui, the first secretary-general of the special committee, will give a work report on the first intelligent agriculture committee. Researcher Wu Huarui reported to the committee members from the perspectives of the special committee's goal positioning, organizational construction, support for the society, major academic activities and achievements in recent years, and expressed his expectations for the new special committee.
After voting, the members of the special committee unanimously passed the work report, bringing a successful conclusion to the work of the first special committee.
Next, the meeting entered the election process. Under the leadership of Professor Yu Naigong, member of the Society Organization Working Committee, the members of the special committee voted to elect the Standing Committee, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Second Committee, and voted to pass the candidate for secretary-general nominated by Researcher Wu Huarui. Professor Yu Naigong, member of the Society Organization Working Committee, read out the election results.
Finally, the newly elected chairman, Researcher Wu Huarui, spoke as a representative of the Second Intelligent Agriculture Committee. The members of the meeting unanimously expressed their affirmation of the work of the last special committee and their support for the new special committee.

The Intelligent Agriculture Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence was established in 2015. It is a national professional organization established to promote academic research, technology application and industrial development in smart agriculture and related fields. The special committee is based on organizing and carrying out cross-innovation research on the science and technology of artificial intelligence and agricultural disciplines, improving the research level of agricultural intelligence technology in my country, and promoting extensive academic exploration, technical research and industrial development of artificial intelligence science and technology in the agricultural field. Under the leadership of Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society , the special committee is based in China and looks at the world, focusing on cutting-edge technological trends and being close to the reality of industrial development, and has organized and carried out a number of domestic and international academic exchanges, popular science publicity and industrialization to promote the rapid development of my country's intelligent agriculture field.
